can i run 16 cobs with one driver?

Hi Roger, as you mentioned you can use a combination of parallel and series so somehow we find something fiting.
am a bit drunken atm, but can you tell us how much watts in total youre looking for?
25w x 16 would be 400 watts.
just checking the options for the HLG320
HLG-320H-C2100 4x36V (will be lower at your used watts) 144V.
4 groups in parallel.

maybe nicer, but a percent or so less efficient would be a HLG-185H-C1400 datasheet say max is 143V i think that fits (they do have a few volt wiggle room also), then 4 cobs in series and 2 groups of it in parallel maybe.

XLG200 is sadly not ideal as far i checked, could only max it out below 150W.

You could run 2x ELG-240-C700A
8x36 =288 and this driver can handle up to 343V, so they are not a perfect fit, but you would be erring on the right side (ie, you could turn them up if you wanted)
288V @700mA = 201.6W so in fact, to stick to your 400W target, you'd actually have to turn them down a smidge.

Or maybe if you can jiggle with the series/parallel thing (which I havent tried) you could get the voltage in range for a single HLG-480H-24A , which is the closest Meanwell unit available to 400Watts. It needs 240 (LED DC) Volts to put out the full 480W.
240V / 36V = 6.66
Sadly 16 cant be easily divided by 6 or 6.6, but then you don't need 480W, so you need someone a bit smarter than me to say what will happen at 4x36=144V.
I'll bet you could series/parrallel 24x 36V cobs to 216V, for probably about 440W and then you could have a 10% bigger space or 10% more light (plus better efficiency).
Good luck with your choices, and make sure you check your numbers with someone who knows what they are doing.
