Can I put plants in dark for 2 days to reduce light cycle without inducing flowering

I've started some AK 47 under the lights at 18 hours . I want to put them outside now but they are only one month old . There will only be 12 or 13 hours of light outside so will this confuse the plants? I've been told to put them in the dark for two days then they will be less stressed with the new light cycle and should prevent them going into flowering.
