At least it souds like the homeowner kept his head by aiming low. Anyone would have to assume that their life is in mortal danger if someone is breaking in. Just make sure it isn't the popo or someone that you gave the key to . Some ppl would overreact and unload the chamber. others dont want a perp remaining... that may prosecute them after all is said n done. tough calls, I feel confident I'll never have to make cuz I stay in-the-zone and keep the faith, whatever that means..

They make the guy out to be a hero, but it sure sounds like the victims wife was inside the trailer. lol.

anchored to the ground, and enclosed on all sides except the ground, sounds to me like concrete filled holes for the posts, and something on the roof.....

Yes, if it could possibly come to avoiding red-tape, like court, then yes I'd want to be over prepared and not cut corners. This means concrete posts. Also I was imagining specialized walls or ceiling where there is a layer of secure chain link fencing under your translucent roofing material. And chain link within wall areas/windows that you will have to resort to for venting. The chain link on the visible sides could be disguised with a mesh breathable fabric they sell at home centers.

DOG MOAT- minus ditch and water, add fence and Doberman.
With a 24/7 Dog-door this could be considered a second lock.

whoever had the idea of an alligator and moat is good one too! tho gators won't overwinter too well in MI. and i'm scarred shitless of gaters, so who'd feed it? dogs rarely eat their masters.
