so thc doesnt have any potency until heated? like dang nugs are nothing with a flame or vape....interesting!!
I've vaped wet flowers before and got very high if that's what you mean .. the heat from the vape seems to do the work of drying very quickly. I'm waiting for someone to repeat this, I've never heard of it being done before.

Of course you can vape fresh bud. The resins will still be vaporized, and the heat is enough to convert the resins to psychoactive, but I don't why you would want to. Since the fresh bud is 80 percent water, you will be vaping the water too.

Steamed vapor, mostly steam, but steamed vapor! :bigjoint:

Rather than me try and explain this in my own words, and possibly get it wrong, I found this on another forum. So thanks goes to bigtee212.

The purpose of cooking is to extract the thc alkaloids out of the bud with the fats and oils in whatever you are making them in. The reason you dont get as high just munching on them is because the thc doesnt extract and get into your body very well, or fast.

BUT, if you heat you bud, it actually increases the potency because it coverts non active alkaloids into active ones, so in one sense, it actually does activate some things, but its doesnt "turn on" or activate the already viable thc.
Hope that helps a little :)

Peace:bigjoint:
