Can I change lights Mid Flower?

I recently purchased a new LED that should up my bud size nicely. But I only have a couple weeks left till harvest. Can I swap lights from my HPS to the better and brighter LED or will it negatively affect my crop?

You should wait until the next cycle to switch. Throwing the LED in there will change your environment variables. And you dont want to start chasing adjustments this close to harvest.

messing with the lights could cause some herming. I have a blurple on one side of my 2x4 closet and a cob on the other.
When I did a grow rotating them every 3 or 4 days, I didn't get a full blown hermi but got a few nanners on all 3 plants.

Everyone else is right. You would need two of those Spiderfarmers to replace a 600W HPS. They are not 2000W (the model number is 2000, but that doesn't refer to Watts), so each 200W LED will produce about half as much light as a 600. If you want bigger buds, throw the LED in there with the HPS and run them both. Otherwise, buy two more Spiderfarmers and replace 600W of HPS with 600W of LED and you will increase your yields. Or buy another Spiderfarmer and run 400W of LED to roughly equal 600W of HPS.

On the subject of swapping lights during flower, as long as you don't upset the photoperiod (don't shine light on the plants during the 12-hour dark period etc) you won't have any issues. You may diminish your harvest by replacing 600W of HPS with 200W of LED, but you won't herm your plants. All cannabis plants are susceptible to hermaphroditism as they are dioecious. The difference is some strains require more or less environmental stress than others to express hermaphroditism, so it comes down to genetics and environmental factors. Disrupting the 12/12 light cycle is a good way to induce hermaphroditism, but changing the light itself will not. Not unless you introduce a large amount of heat or light stress – that can induce hermaphroditism in some strains.

Thanks All for your replies. I used to have 1000w HPS but even with the cooling fan it just got too freeking hot in the tent. So I dropped down to the 600. It works and I always have a good outcome. But I wouldn't mind some bigger nugs. The quality is ALWAYS there. Just not always pleased with qty.
