can [email protected] run 5 cxb3590s 36v

The hlg240 1.4a runs at 250w

5 Crees at 36v require 50.4 watts.

Is it okay to run 5 Crees on this when they require a total of 252 watts?

Will the last cob on the line suffer from low voltage ?

Thanks.

All the cobs will get the same voltage drop (35.8 VDC) if they are wired in series when not dimmed.

Okay so they all run at an even 50 watts. Is this okay for them to get 35.8 v?

Is it hard on the driver ? Good for it ? Okay for the cobs ?

Will dimming be a problem ?

From my understanding...

5 x 36v Crees will run great with the HLG240 1400A or B.

If you have the HLG 240H C1400B, dimming shouldn't be a problem. You can't dim with the A version.

Thanks for the links. I have see them all from time to time but it's nice have them in one spot for reference.

If this driver can run 5 cobs I think 5 cxb3590 36v running at 1.4 amp will be good for a 6.66 sqf area.

That should put out about 143 par watts meaning 21.4 par watts per square foot.

From my understanding this is the goal (20 par per foot squared) for flower. Dim it down 50% for veg to get to around 10 PAR/SQF.

Please interrupt me if I'm wrong.

The A version has dimming built in.
