can handling weed make you test positive?

To the dude asking the question- all I can say is that I did fail a UA...the only drug I was subject to at the time was my crop. No, I didn't smoke any...If you are handling dope, wear gloves....for anything, just to be safe.

Drug tests dont pick up THC itself... they pick up the METABOLITES that are broken down from ingesting some quality dope. So no, you will not fail your test.

even if you shake it off drug tests look for the metabolites of substancres that your body produces by breakin down the substance hence theyd know you hadnt ingested it

i was a not so haevy smoker of between a gram and an 8/th a day and when i got put on probation it took over 2-3 mos before i pissed clean so sayin you hadnt smoked in 8/mths doesnt necessarily mean your in the clear if you ve been smokin 1/4-1/2 day of top quality smoke which you probably were you can be diirty for quite some time ... but if you had already pee'd clean before that would be a whole nother styory but jus sayin you hadnt smoked in 8 mos doesnt mean you are in the clear . all im sayin is dont believe the 30 day rule with weed there are alot of factors including you personal bodies rate that it breaks down this substance

Yeah I knew all that stuff when I was on probation but for some reason when I posted that some how slipped my mind.... but seriously that is spot on they don't test for thc guess that ends discusion but it was fun while it lasted..they sell cheap dip test online cheep like a few $ a peice better safe than sorry.

If you have a high percentage of body fat you will test positive for a much longer period. THC metabolites are stored in fatty tissue.

ok guys i need to bring this one back i have to take a piss test on jan 6th for probation and i helped a friend do some trimming so i need to know the real not guesses will i fail the test and do your fingers absorb thc ??

The thc takes HOURS at a fairly high temp in butter which is basically pure oil. Unless you left the resin on your hands when you went to bed and put hand warmers in gloves and put on your hands too, leaving on all night, I doubt it. Even then I dont think your fingers would produce enough oil to break down the thc enough to be absorbed right back into your fingertips. It probably got all dry and left a crusty layer that you scraped/rubbed off after you were done trimming.

Cmon I know someone trimmed some plants and took a piss test shortly after !

If it did diffuse through your skin the amounts in your blood would be absolutely tiny and wouldnt show up on tests

really though, i SAW my neighbors wifes cousins mailman give a blow job to a dude who handled a plant last year. and yesterday i tested POSITIVE for smokin.....plus im pregnant

i had to take a 3 month break from smoking last year and helped trim several plants. i freaked too and bought a test and passed. i think youll be okay.

I just tested Positive for THC, I have not taken any for 10 weeks. I did trim a plant as my wife has cancer and we use it for her treatment. We make butter once a month and she takes it 2 times a day. I had an OVI and quit using cannibis because I am in a treatment program. I have lived up to my obligations and have not drank or taken marijuana at all. except trimming for my wife's medication. The OVI did come after an accident where i broke 4 ribs and i was taking butter myself, ( for the pain as i still worked). The last date I took any butter or smoked has been June 10th 2013 and today is 8.26.13

I have a drug test coming up in a couple of weeks. I quit smoking for it because i have never cheated with fake piss in my life. Anyways i planted a couple of Legal plants last year and now i'm getting ready for my first harvest. My harvest is going to be almost the exact time of my drug test. My first Drug test in 4 years, and now i cant smoke my Organic Product so it sucks to be me. At least the job is only supposed to be like 4 months long. My plants are well grown plants are getting very sticky. My arms started itching today after doing some work on my plants. I could literally stick a peace of paper to my arm. I have washed my hands several times now. they still smell. Anyways it makes sense to me that you don't have to smoke THC to get it into your body. You can eat it vaporize it and i'm sure that you you could put it into cream and rub it over your body and absorb it that way. Right now i'm rubbing my eyes with weed hands. I Just now stated researching this subject and it seams that there are those who say no and those who say yes you can fail. I will be exercising cation this harvest. I will probably be getting some gloves and wearing a long sleeve shirt. I have never failed a drug test before and don't plan on failing this one.

The answer is yes. I haven't been around burning pot for more than 4months and just harvested two plants and had a ua easy test and it was hot. I did not wear gloves but washed my hands and got it all off before the test no I did not dip my finger in the piss and I used a paper towel to hold the cup before and after. Handling pot will make you test hot.

the most realistic answer is no.
thcs log p is such that it will not readily absorb. when making a topical application or otherwise intended for percutaneous use. a suitable carrier is needed and some ethanol or pg added dmso etc to aid permeation.
even in low dose marinol users they wouldnt test positive, high doses about 120hrs and thats oral, and biologically more active

You sound like you know what you're saying but I just went through this. The answer is yes. I have not smoked or been around any one smoking in over four months bro. I have been harvesting and touching over 2lb and that's all I've been around. It's been four days of harvest and I just had a test hit hot for thc. So ex plant how I poss hot not being around smoking eating or smoking myself for over four months. Btw I'm only 150lb, low body fat.
