im new to growing also and i have 2 plants growing in soil with just water , i am using a florecent light suspended 3-4 cm from the tops
sounds good to me. keep those lights nice and close like you are doing already. you might want to invest in a ph test kit and some ph increaser and decreaser soon if you havnt already done so. each of those plants has its own pot right..

no body gets annoyed over that number, people get annoyed with you handing out advice which could inadvertantly harm or kill over peoples plants. do you see me handong out advice. NO. because i ahve no first hand experiance, if you did the same people would stop flaming you

If people are asking for advise then i will give them advise. one more time i will ask. can you please point out where i demand someone do something to their plant that would kill it. i am waiting so if i did(i know that i didnt)do that i can edit it.

everybody's so tense...lol@the drama!

I dunno what U mean by "regular dirt" but im sure the shit from outside wouldnt be too safe to grow in unless U got rid of all the pest's, fungus, and mold in it. I also read somewhere that its best to sterilize the dirt by baking it in an oven for 2hrs and letting it dry prior to growing in it.

and as far as the water goes, if U dont let the water sit out then you might have some chlorine or other pollutant in your water that could potentially harm the plants...
so in theory, if you meet the required minimum conditions to grow then yes, you can grow something...but most growers are growing for quality, so we prefer our water and 'soil' (not DIRT) to be top notch...

its not about demanding people should do things, you are (already) ranked as a senior member, and tbf when i see somebody is a senior member i tend to listen to them, so people will listen to you, which could cause damage to their plants. Also when people ask for advice, they are generally aiming at experienced growers, which you are not.

i not going to bother trying to talk sence to you, or trall through your hundreds of posts. But you really could end up causing some irreversable damage. does that not make you want to stop.

I've tried to talk sense with him but it just doesnt go in, im going to leave him to it to continue to hand out advice he just doesnt get it. I think by now though that everyone has clocked who he is and that he doesnt really know much about it other than what has been read.

Jimmy you need experience before you give out advice. I hate to say it but you make it very obvious that you have no idea what you are doing. people wont flame you as much bro.

Be careful when just using regular dirt from outside. If you are planning on using regular dirt from outside to grow inside, then you run the risk of bringing in bacteria and even little critters from the outdoors. If growing outside an excellent fertilizer is COFFEE GRINDS as it will release little bits of nitrogen to your garden.
