CAN FAN 33 6"inch HO

So I just bought this new fan, moves alot of air!!! BUT its pretty load, anybody got any ideas on how I can keep the noise down? Would a carbon filter lower the noise??? Idk, I heard a duct silencer might work but was wondering if anyone had any experiance with them b4 I just went out and bought one....

I have the same fan and the carbon filter did help the noise, combined with insulated ducting this two will cut noise down but WILL NOT eliminate. If your looking for silence then look into an insulated box built around the fan itself, using foam, soundboard or any materials to absorb noise and vibration. Good Luck.

What do you have this hooked up to? Are you looking to get one of the Can-Fan Carbon Filters?

I was also looking at a "Can-Fan" put they are so expensive, where did you get yours?

I have it pushing air thru a 600w 6" reflector and a 400w cooltube, working good so far just don't like that fan noise in the backround all the time, next time i'm going to look into one of those s&p td series fans.
