Can auto flowering strains produce seeds without male flowers on their main stems?

Hi guys, I am growing a nice healthy looking Royal Dwarf and she is in full healthy bud...no signs of balls or bananas. Al the stems coming off the main stem have nice buds growing at the top of them as well as the top central cola...no die off of any pistols to be seen anywhere but on the main trunk. I have had three of the calyxes swell and the pistols die, so I pulled them off the plant and found the very first sign of seeds developing. I have looked through my very small grow room and found no signs of ANY male flowers at ALL. I know through experience that when a flower is germinated that the pistols retract back in and a seed starts developing....I have not put this plant under any stress, the room is in CFL and LED and barely gets above 27c....I know that female cannabis plants can produce a couple of seeds, but this is weird that it is only on the main stem, does anyone have any ideas or experiences with this? I would really like some other opinions.
