I am in Tulare County ... near Three Rivers. The road to Sequoia National Park.
No rain just big thunderheads over the Sierra's. Raining up by you, TMB?
No rain here either, but I see thunder heads over the high Sierra's, and we have clouds creeping in from the east, you know the ones that trap in the heat at night and increases the humidity. What's your elevation there, I'm at 2700ft?
Stay cool,

I'm in a valley in the foothills .. maybe 1,000' or less. It is feeling a little more humid..... The plants don't seem to mind the heat but I just gave them a quick glance for droopiness.. and none needed water. Something broke a branch on Purple OG but it is green and has already started to heal. I wished them good luck til tomorrow.
Did you get to the river to swim?

What kind of native trees around your area? Digger pines and Blue/live Oaks?

Never made it to the river, we have 3 drivers in the house and 3 vehicles. My wife took 1 for work, my 17yo son's truck is making a "funny sound" from underneath, and he forgot to inform me of this until today. He had a 4:00pm football practice, so he took my truck.
I'm thinking tomorrow I'll get up at 5;00am, work until 9am-10am, eat brunch, smoke out then head to the river with my son about noonish.

I'll get back to you on the trees...I do see Oaks ..... (I'll ask my neighbor.)...;-)
I'm thinking of jumping into the Kaweah River after the horse shoer leaves.

It is so beautiful... tranquil.
The morning chores are done, damn it's getting hot out there already.
I live on 6 acres and I see no neighbors/homes. Lots of wildlife where I live, they're the biggest threat to the garden. In fact I'm going to eat, smoke out then go on a Squirrel patrol with the shotgun. I see they've been eating some of the veggies again. I'll set up a lawn chair in the bushes near the garden and wait on them.
Yes TWS....right on the doorstep to gods country, you need to come visit.

I thought I would die standing with my horse and the shoer...sweat was pouring off me.
Anticipating this afternoon's heat has taken the stuffing out of me.
My neighbors are acres away but I can see them in spots, between fruit trees, ornamental grasses and big Myrtle bushes. Variegated Myrtle. I only talk to one. She's cool and her oldest daughter smokes.
Hot.....even with the breezes. Pfui.

I got lazy and didnt water anything today lol. They gonna survive. I will hit the flowering girls with a potassium silicate solution to help handle the heat. All of the full season plants I got going seem to be loving the heat right now, save a few from a strain that just does not do well here in cali. Hopefully it cools down by transplant time.

It must be harder in pots with this heat my girls are doing great with only 3 gallons of water every other day!! In a few weeks I'll up the gallons to compensate for their growth!!
