hello all,

i was just wondering what would happen if someone was raided and was caught with about 70 plants in a vertical hydroponic system. It would be a sea of green type of thing so the plants would only be about 2-3 feet max. both me and my fiance have out Medical cards, SD county to be specific...i belive they follow the state law of 6 mature plants but ive heard different. Thanks guys...

SD city council guidlines allow up to 1lb of dried smokeable pot. 24 plants in 64 sq ft area indoors. no outside growing except in enclosed greenhouses. remember, it is still illegal to grow or posses pot under federal law. damn feds!!! not sure what the penalties are for being over specified limits. was thinking about moving to CA for this reason(growing meds) but changed my mind when i saw sales tax, unemployment, and high cost of living. hope this helps, peace.

I'm very curious to know the answer to this question too! I would also like to know what a first time offense sentence would look like if caught with a 70 plant vertical indoor system with mother plants and clones? Would I be looking at jail time? I want to move to cali to grow MMJ, I need to know what my limits are for growing legally and how much I can grow and not have to serve time if I get caught.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I read on Norml.com that anything over the legal growing limit and you are looking at 5 years plus. Good behavior and shit and you will be out in 1-3 if you don't have priors. Now that you mention it, you are in the same town as me, if both of you have a card than you could try and become a care taker. Next time you get your card renewed and pay the little extra to get a care taker permit, you will be able to grow 48 plant in San Diego, 24 mature, 24 immature. Hope this helps, for more in depth info, there is a book on CA Marijuana laws, Norml.com is great source, and nothing beats visiting our local dispensaries to get the latest medical info.

Thanks guys. What I really want to know is how many plants or weight above the state/county limits would result in jail time on a first time offense with no prior record. I cant afford to live in Santa Cruz which is the most liberal, I would have to live in a 6/12 county and I want to grow about 100 plants, plus clones and a few mothers to keep a SOG going. I basically want to know how much I can grow without serving time in prison if I was CAUGHT...
