Cali Connection Seeds: Buyer beware

Hello good people of the cannabis community.

I normally don't post on grow forums but I was compelled to share my experience with Cali Connection's Tahoe OG Kush.

I purchased six fem seeds of Tahoe OG Kush and Larry OG Kush. I ran the Tahoe seeds, all germinated. The growth was really slow and the phenotypes varied drastically. Out of six seeds I had four distinct phenos, that alone should have been a red flag *UNSTABLE GENETICS*

FIVE of the SIX girls HERMIED. Only one was half-way decent but even that pheno had a terribly low resin production. The resin production across all phenotypes was so shit that I honestly scrapped the entire grow. I've been growing for over 7 years and have never encountered anything like this.

I'll probably just throw away the Larry OG fems. Waste of money, waste of time, waste of resources, and in the end all for nothing. I wish I could speak directly to Cali Connection, I would demand a refund. Never again CC.

what seed bank did you use ?
yeah I've heard that for about a year now
Herbie's online.

So it seems that issues with CC have been around for over five years, one would think that the breeder would have corrected those issues but instead it seems that nothing has changed.

If roles were reversed I would have contacted all of my seed vendors and told them to destroy my ill-breed stock.

All them crosses carry herm genes in them. Can't blame the breeder really. Blessed with the curse. Fire dankk weed that can herm if your not on your p's and q's. Research your genetics and breeder. I have also grown both no problems.

The ice king raises a valid point.
But on the flip, many breeders release S1 beans with only the rare herm. It seems CC isn't quite as skilled in their technique, with all the reports of mega-hermaphrodites.
I run a cookies S1, and it rules, with no balls. I've had other stuff herm on me, not that one though.

I too run a cookies s1 and its very stable. She yields very well and is very vigorous. Reminds me of pillsbury cookie dough with a kushy back ground. Id love to see cc's 'adaptation' of her. After running their Chem 91 regs they'll never get another penny from me.

This is pretty old news, but they still seem to have enough support to stay afloat all these years. My only experience with CC was their first release of GSC. It was like a big yielding version of cookies with a mild og flavor. It never hermed on me but wasnt a keeper.

Is it mainly their fem strains though? All the threads I've read have mostly talked about their fem line herming. I've just bought a pack of their reg tahoe og kush after seeing some good results. Either my friend is super lucky and had no herms from 2 packs or the regs seem more stable. I hope this is the case as I got a free pack of larry og reg as well.

I personally like the chem 91 of CC, very stable and super potent:
Thats great, when did you get the seeds? Were they fems or regs?

This definitely wasnt the case for me. None of my phenos were even closely related to what id call chem. The closest looking pheno i had smelled like walnuts, it was gross.

i have bunches of stardawg crosses anyhow. Im sure any of these crosses will blow swerves' 'work' out of the water.

Mo,

If it helps I ran all regs and didnt have one problem with herms. What i did have a problem with was how unstable the line was. As stated above, nothing was along the lines of Chem. Im sure some people have great results with CC, unfortunately a lot dont, Im in the majority of the bad experiences.

There are plenty of reputable companies to get a good og from, i'd be nervous to ever put a bet back down on CC again

Cool, cheers for the reply mate and sorry they didn't give you what you wanted. I do have to agree about stability issues, that seems to be the going concensus. There are gems to find but it may be down to luck rather than numbers.

I ran their chem4 og and it was a stank OG with nice yields and frosty buds, lost my cut and can't get it back :(
