Cabinet grow

Hello all, I wanted to get an opinion on this since I'm debating on buying on these guys and wanted opinions. First, my space is limited and this will be my first time with hydroponics, messed around with soil but far from expert( because taste is supposed to be sooooo much better from soil, opinions on that are more than welcome as well ). I do not have a room and need a confined space such as the cabinet grow. So i'm looking at the Superlocker 3.0 either with a 250W HPS , 250W mh for veg and T-5 side lighting or the LED system with side LEDS . You also have yielder max by cabinet grow which is also in the running, links are posted below. Any Suggestions? I'm fully aware that I could build something for cheaper and "better" but these are the restrictions I have been given until a house is bought. Lets not try to get all high and mighty with huge grow ops, tents and bad mouth the restrictions. I'm trying to make lemons out of lemonade with the restrictions I have been given and start growing ASAP. A true prebuilt cabinet grow system. I'm fully aware of the cost but this is the only i can do it without my lady screaming at me "holy shit, what did you do to our little 1 bedroom apartment?! " she hates the tent "look". Thank you for your time and happy growing!

I have the superlocker 3.0 with leds, so far I love it. I'm a newbie but so far everything with it has been great, had no problems here for what it's worth!

Thanks for the reply! Not many people on here like these things, any pics? Any issues with heat, noise or smell?

Yea I know! They are expensive and many other cheaper ways to do it but I had limited space at the time as well. Will post a few pics tomorrow I've only got on my plant going to start with the rest are tomato plants for now lol . Everything has been good with mine I could see a little light out of the front up top but they give you extra foam to cover any gaps if you have the same issue. Mine is currently in the garage and I'm in fl so it gets to be about 90 during peak time but I've been using the fan included and an extra box fan blowing from the rear inside the tube where the cords come out and a homemade thing of co2 and seems like the plants like everything so far. I'll post some pics tommorow. Like I said I'm a newbie and this is my first grow so it's all new to me! Hope this helps

Hi i am with you on this, trying to decide if i should buy a stealth cab or build one (still not sure) but in my hast to start came up with this idea (under my kitchen cab) i have three soil plants and three in my areogarden (also trying to find the best grow method for me) about two weeks in and no smell yet. i simply lined my cab with foil added a small cheap fan and thats it. I have had friends come to my house sit in the kitchen and not notice a thing. i guess i have another week or so before i have to move them but it has been a great starter.

That seems like a good starter setup to get things moving, I don't think my lady would like me using that space. lol.

What I ended up doing was going with the superlocker 3.0 , I got them to customize it a little. They are going to put the KIND L450 instead of the L300 , take out one of the hydroponics systems only leaving one tub and added the blue guardian monitor. The main reason is I wanted the extra room to put a couple of soil plants next to it, I figured would use bags instead of pot to keep the heat down since I will most likely using fox farm and I hear it runs hot. these are links, everyone let me know what you think!!

Wow that sounds great i hope you post some pics after you have it up and running. Yea my old lady fussed also as we are both small business owners and she was afraid someone would find out (we are closet smokers) but she slowly came around.

Nice, mine was okay with it but ate a homemade edible and had a freak out. So now she sticks to high CBD strains only, lol

I am in the same situation, you can look at the discussion we had over on this thread: https://www.rollitup.org/t/first-time-grower-grow-cabinets.872248/page-2#post-11648314

Long story short, I'm going with the Closet Grow Yielder Max / LED / Soil model after comparing the SuperCloset and Closet Grow models. I even stopped by their showroom and took some pics and posted them in that thread.

I'm concerned about stealth as well, but I also want a garden up and running without running into the learning curve I see a lot of people going through. The pre-builts are pricey, but you are paying for build quality and the fact that these are products that have already gone through their learning curve. When I stopped by the showroom I was blown away at the little details that went into those things. I cant wait to get my own! I plan to order it today if they approve my financing!

I guess man. Those units are crazy expensive. I just don't see it being worth it. I built a 2x4x6 ft for about 600 bucks. Idk. I guess those things work but I like keeping my money.

Whitebb: I feel you. However, what I have seen more than anything on these forms is the fact that people can spend YEARS tweaking their setup to get it to a point where it is optimized. I can spend 600 bucks, build a setup, run a cycle, tweak it some more, spend another 200, run another cycle, tweak it in some more and spend another 200, etc. etc... The point with buying a pre-fab box is eliminating that curve, which to me is absolutely worth it.

It remains to be seen, but with taking estimated yield numbers from the manufacturer, cutting them in half, and adding in power costs and nute costs... It should pay for its self in about 1 cycle compared to me just purchasing product from this dispensary. And I am getting my unit financed for 0%, so it's a no-brainer here IF everything works out according to plan!
