have you ever seen a "Golden Arm"?....that is what we will use. Covers the greenhouse from the outside...
Wow I just looked up the golden arm you mentioned, $1,500 for what looks like less then $150 in square steel tubing. Another $300 for the push rods.

I've seen automated versions that look similar. Have never really looked to seriously into light dep due to our short growing season here. This spring the wife and I have been tossing around the idea of building a smaller greenhouse for light dep. If we do, I garantee I won't buy one, I'll fab one up myself.

If I plan it right, maybe throw some out after harvest, as we harvest, then after those are done get another round ending in march. If all works well we wont need to cover them, fingers crossed. How long should a plant be vegged indoors before thrown in a GH? Will I need supplemental lighting in nov, dec, jan, or will they still flower nice? All new to me when it comes to off season outdoor. Got some clones cut, need to experiment with these to see when I should start vegging for novembers round.20150420_211833.jpg

Also just pulled one purple dream, and one pre98 bubba. Hopefully hold me over for few months :)20150420_213032.jpg20150420_213058.jpg

I wont have them in the GH for few weeks to a month maybe. Cost goes up a bit when I ignite the GH fans hahahaha. Whens your GH gonna be up @doublejj? I sealed the floor with plastic, then ground cover. I dont get any moisture build up in the mornings which I think contributed to rot and mildew. Also the fans uptop allow the entire GH from top to bottom to stay the same temps throughout, which the top colas last season had heat stress IMO. Hope that can help in anyway.

Sounds sweet. We should have the greenhouse frame up by this weekend....

Any suggestion on where to buy cloth pots, and which brand?
I like smart pots & shop around the local grow shops for the best deal. I can get 150gl smart pots for $33 at the local grow shop. My partner is check with a local contact that makes custom fabric pots any size we wish. so we may by those, just to keep it local..

we bought some off brand fabric pots last season & they were made with much thinner fabric & you would be lucky to get 2 seasons out of them. We are looking are smart pots for the long run, they usually last 3-4 seasons for a few just $$ more...
i bought a roll of 24" high caliper (smartpot) material and am making my own:)
