buying cfl in the uk, help

hi, i am wanting to do a sml cfl grow and saw that everone is using what looks like vanity light fitting with y splitters. does anyone in the uk know where to get this equiptment from? as my asda ( wal mart ) has nothing like this in stock. i don't really want to use 6 or 8 plug sockets to get my lighting. also my local asda has 20w, 1200Lm, 2700k, warm white cfl bulbs only, i believe i need a different colour white also?

where did you get them from? I'm a bit para about buying stuff online, anyone else know i can get this stuff? tesco, asda, b&q? i would go round but need to make a special journey as i have a cast on my leg at the mo' if i know where to go i can make the effort to get there, but traveling from shop to shop on public transport in the uk is not my idea of a good day out.

dude sorry to break it to ya, its almost impossible to get decent cfls in the shops, i have to get them online which means you have to pay for postage, i know it sucks right...

yep, if you dont trust the sites you ain't heard of or something try ebay..

there not cheap, the cheapest daylight cfl i can find is like 9 quid inc postage and thats only like 20w.

i saw 20w cfl's in asda the other day £2 each they are 1200Lm/2700k warm whites. i think this is what i need for flowering obviously more than 1 bulb needed. the problem i have is the fittings, cant fing a vanity light set up with splitters, a bit like this https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/167192-6-cfl-balast.html so i dont to use 8 plug sckets. anyone?

Emm, mate... I said i got MINE cheap.

I didn't say anything about them being cheap in general

The 6500K cfl's are available in Focus DIY. Think they only do 12w / 950 lumen and they are a fiver each from memory. They have a blue stripe on the pack to help you identify them. Have a look at the top right of the bulb display.
Not looked for Y-splitters so I can't help you there.
