Butane is going to kill you guys!

N-Butane is very toxic, however if you vacuum purge you product, the butane will be (almost) completely removed... But guess what! the canning process EVERYONE uses to put the butane in the can is also highly toxic and it is inevitable unless you pay nearly 200 dollars or more for a small 8 oz can of food grade N-Butane in an expensive laboratory canister.

Even if you get 20x Refined butane, you are still having the same amount of this toxin entering your body. Put research into what you smoke guys. There are reports EVERYWHERE of people with chronic seizures after smoking butane hash, heart issues, and much more! I am an apprentice organic chemist, but i know nearly nothing about organic chemistry However i know how to make really good oil using ethanol or isopropyl.

I wouldn't have taken the time to create an account on this website unless i truly knew that N-Butane is horrible for hash oil! In ten years from now, your all going to be kicking yourselves for smoking butane wax or hash oil. there are so many other cleaner more efficient ways!

I hope someone out there will be smart enough to read this and take the advice. I repeat Butane Hash is POISON!!!

What are you talking about with the "canning process"? I do not believe there is a canning process associated with making BHO. And are you saying that if you vacuum purge than it is okay? Because that is was everyone is doing.

I think he means when they can the butane

i think people been smoking BHO for 30+ years.. anddd. still smoking...

what kind of lighter you use for smoking? you don't think you are inhaling any butane with that?

Whenever anyone uses ANYTHING man-made and ingests/inhales it- they do/should understand that it is a possibility that it is bad or harmful to them if not used in moderation..
like Tylenol, aspirin, Big Macs, Gatorade, Pepsi/Coke etc.....

No, vacuum purging does not remove the harmful toxin left with butane. It will remove the Butane, but not the other inevitable toxin.

I am referring to the canning process of butane, because butane is a gas under normal atmospheric pressure, so they put it into a pressurized 'can' to distribute it. The process they use to get the butane into a cheap pressurized can uses a chemical that gets into the N-Butane, and is toxic to ingest.

I would buy or make a cheap still if you wanted to use vodka, so you could distill the vodka and create nearly pure ethanol. Pure ethanol makes great hash oil if you know what your doing.

Guzias1, people smoked tobacco for a very long time without finding health concerns. ten years ago we treated dogs ticks problems with a chemical that gives dogs cancer. Additionally, some people smoke one cigarette and die from lung cancer, or you could smoke your entire life and die of old age. That does not make smoking cigarettes any less worse for you.

The lighter when lit combusts the N-Butane, destroying the toxic chemicals. LadyZandra, i look at my health very carefully, and eating Big Macs and drinking soda as much as i smoke hash oil would kill me in weeks. When we are working with cancer patients and other medically handicapped people, adding yet another toxic chemical into the mix is going to bring their end that much quicker.

By your logic, the N-butane would also combust when it hits the hot nail.

mda232, if you spent 60 seconds more blowing over this post, you would have learned that its not the N-Butane you should be worried about. Its the chemical that is inevitably introduced to the pure butane during the canning process of the butane.

Right, troll, but the n-butane in the lighter is the same n-butane that is in the hash oil. so, (again your logic), if the lighter combusts the chemicals in the n-butane and makes it safe, why doesn't the nail?

I have said it here before and I will say it once more , I strongly dislike extracts made with butane . I have tried wax and shatter made by a lab and even then I could sense residuals upon my Palet . I guess being a Chef has its perks away from the kitchen too .. Always trust ones nose and tongue when it comes to the senses !

Old School myself as I like to use Alcohol for extracting and it's all I use .
