butane bho question

Hey guys I tried a quick search but I'm not having luck so I'll ask... I am about to make some shatter and am going to be using bud for it with puretane but was wondering if I could somehow mix some low grade brown oil into the bud first to increase my yield...

Why? To sell people a shit product?

Just keep it as is and sell it for more, or enjoy it more yourself. Making something worse is generally a bad idea. If someone wants shittier product, they can easily make it shit themselves.

Sorry I thought I was in the medicating forum not the drug dealer one... I'm simply asking if I can add a gram or so extra if I added a fiver of shit oil to my bud before I ran the butane

I want to know if the butane will dissolve the thc in the crappy iso oil and leave all the crap behind with the bud

You can extract a turd if you so desire, the results however, will be shitty.

That's funny... I've taken stems and shake and turned it into high grade shatter... why is everyone focusing on the quality of the oil?

Let me try this again... If I take a ounce of marijuana, and add a fiver of isopropyl oil to the bud will the the in the oil dissolve and leave the rest behind.

Now I'm using high grade iso oil though

Why? From your previous post you apparently know everything.

Thin film it in bright sun. The UV will degreen it.

an added hexane wash might clean it up more also.

How so? All I said was that I didnt want to focus on the quality of the oil that my question was will butane dissolve the thc... still hasn't been answered

Okay then didn't realize that we were in kindergarten again... I'm a idiot because I have a legitimate question you are not intelligent enough to answer? Was I calling you names? No I simply asked a question you posted a smartass answer that didn't relate to my question.

I didn't ask if I was degrading the oil I asked if the butane would dissolve the the and leave whatever junk filler material is in it and strips the the like the bud. You can dissolve bho completely in alcohol... but butane doesn't take everything else alcohol does just the thc for the most part.

I dont know the true answer to your question but i would say to try it. I understand what your saying and by theory yes it should...but i really have no idea.

maybe try a small amount first as to not waste it if it does not work out as intended...put it on the top of your chamber and give a good burst of butane, look at it and if you see it has dissolved some you should have your answer...if it looks untouched then experiment is a failure, you still have your ISO and you can continue on with the shatter.

and dont mind the RIU douche bags...they are everywhere and prefer to poke fun at people and name call than give some kind of usefull information...to them theres only one way and if you dont know it or dont do it then your just a idiot. there is a word of them...i think its called ignorant asshole.

I'm not sure if it will work but I think you should try it. I understand exactly what you're asking and think you should try what Retiredmat suggested. Try to dissolve just a little bit at first.

you're more than likely gonna get the same product out of it but you could always clean it up. whenever I have some left over before i run again i usually just toss it in the pyrex and blast onto it. it dissolves and you have to clean up the product anyway so anyone saying it will be garbage prolly is pulling a half gram at a time anyway.

Well here's what I did, I ran some sugar leaf trim off some bud previously and never emptied the chamber so I added a bit of oil in with the shake and ran another can through. I did get back around a gram or so of more oil than shatter back. It wasn't the best quality by any means and there was still oil in the chamber. I think it didn't work too well since the oil seemed to freeze solid rather than dissolve
