What are ways to build a strong healthy community?

When we go through another depression or recession it would be good to have a network of people who have skills, stuff to barter, etc. And there are all kinds of other positives to having a strong community bond and so I am just throwing it out there to get some more ideas.

good simple question:)

well this depends on where you live in the world .

in the western world , money and good people build a community ,

in the eastern world , religion, money and good people build a good community..... Or so each religion say .

and then youv got trible people dotted about all over the world who have no money and build there community on a loving solid bond between family members.......which we all do but in a different way :)



so yea ..... A good simple question:)

tribes rule when it comes to building a community.......edens not lost in the western world or any world come to think of it...... It still exists:)


but that's my rather stoned view on stuff lol

I own a generator, chainsaw, maul, can grow my own anything, got more tools than I'll never need to fix stuff, learned how to make moonshine(fuel) after the last crash, I have a shot gun, but also a fishing poll and 180 pound crossbow(Can make your own ammo) for hunting food. Lots of knowledge I'll probably never(hopefully/thankfully) have to use. A 63 ground up resto, with points and a carb. And a whole slew of other stuff and skillz.

im former USMC. Mine will survive. But, you better be willing to work, have a skill or something of value to trade if the shit hits the fan. If you ain't family, there are no free rides. Well, maybe if you're old or disabled, but i ain't wasting my resources on slackers and fuck ups. :bigjoint:Cough @LetsGetCritical Cough. :hump: Excuse me.

3rd person ever

ok it is fairly a simple thing ....genetically u need 8 ppl 4 male 4 females (each has the have multi kids by each man ) then just keep that first set from breeding wrongly and after that can leave up to anyone u should have a genetically stable pop with in 6 to 8 gens

to build one out of the randomness of now .....set of ethical rules that everyone fallows ....ideal would be to have everyone in the same mind set and general thinking before u attempt to set up the things
farming ........everyone must farm
hunting.......those with skills
woodworking.....lumber mill/ harvesting/ house building/furniture
metal working.....blacksmith is a must for nail and making of /tool repair for farming tools/hunting
medical..........needs herbal skills along with basic general practice ....can get a general surgeon would be great
schooling ....skills have to be passed on once general understand is reached (reading writing math general concepts of life)
vet for the animals
communication
then depending on what u are shooting for u will need ppl skilled in several of the higher skills construction of power systems for one ...water system..waste systems...then trade networks

but the general idea u should look at to get something that works is history .........this has been done before thousands of times u can design the whole lay out of it based off what has worked in the past and avoid all the common pit falls theses regions cults/ ruby ridge type of ppl hit
