Yup, Defo need to get me that equipment.. Thought I'd be able to wing it without them until I got funds for some new shizzle. Went to the store this morning and tried to get some epsom salts but all they had were dead sea bath salts, so I got some of them and have tried flushing with that. Is dead sea salt just as good? It has the same benefits :/
Not to sure about watering with bath salts....

Hey Guys, Been a while since I updated so thought I'd show ya how my babys doing. Only left with the one now as had to dispose of the others due to them shrivvling up and dying on me :/ but this one has fought on and looks to be doing splendidly :P
I started doing 12-12 light cycle about a week ago and the growth is going real quick now havent fed it anything as of yet due to what happened to the other plants after feeding. Think I'll leave it for maybe another week then start to feed gently.

Other babies (Swiss Cheese) are also coming on nicely with the exception of a few which appear to be stunted or burned from reused soil that wasnt flushed properly but they all still appear healthy and what doesnt kill em can only make em stronger.

The swiss cheese plants are unsexed so i will have the difficulty of trying to sex them myself which is slightly worrying as I cant tell the difference between any of them at the moment. I also fear that I may accidently pollinate my older gal but am unsure as I do not know if the male plant actually produces anything that can pollinate my fem until its latter stage of flowering (which by then i will have disposed of) Can anyone tell me if its possible to pollinate my fem with 2 week old males???

Neway hope ya like the pics let me kno what ya think :)

She doesn't look to bad but she looks hungry... Start with half strength and only feed every other to every third watering. She also looks like she has a mag deficiency so I would add some calmag to her feeding. Your babies have a lot of stretch in them...how far away do you have those lights?

If you have a male in there, it can pollinate at any time, get it out unless you want seeds. As for "sexing" it is a useless practice unless your trying to find a Mom plant. Just grow till ready to flower and then switch to 12/12 and the plants will show sex in a couple weeks. You lose a lot of time sexing, and risk stressing the plant, which could cause hermies, and introduce more pollen, and more seeds. Good luck, they do look ok!

I can start feeding, im a lil worried about giving her anything as when i fed early it basically killed off all my plants barr that one. I've got some tomato feed (oil) i can give her or some fish blood & bone dry mix, what you think would be best?

I was looking for some calmag around but have no idea where i'm supposed to find the stuff is it medicinal or what as i cant find nothing in shops here. I tried to get some epsom salts but all i could find was Dead sea bath salts which i gave her about a week or two ago.

If their is a mag def wont feeding it increase mag levels??

Yeah, I noticed how they appear to be quite stretchy, They are kept in the compartment at the bottom of cupboard with 2 20w (100w eq) CFL's which are almost touching the plants and actually managed to burn one of the leaves off one of them. one or two of them havent really moved at all and remain very small Its sort of a mystery. Possibly its the strain..

I meant defining if they are male or female, as i'm unable to tell at this stage, all 10 seeds were mixed and its swiss cheese, I fear my main plant could be pollinated by a male as they are kept in the same cupboard and as I cannot define their sex as of yet I cant just throw em away... I didnt think that it would be a problem. Any ideas on what I should do??? I really dont want my main plant going hermie :/

Thanks for input :)

If they have not shown sex yet then there is no need to worry...as soon as you can tell if it is male then get it out of there...

Ah thats good to hear, though I did panic and try to built a box around the plant to prevent any unwanted sunlight during dark periods and as a wall to prevent pollination, though I ended up squashing the nodes of my plant a bit, Im sure it will perk back up again but its looking a lil deflated now heh .. Trial and error eh... tis a bitch :P

looks ok smily! they look deficient or locked out. flush her with about a gallon of water at once then on next feeding give her a mild feeding. she has 5 weeks about. still a bit to early to pluck one :D

Girls look good...may have a bit of deficiency there....may need some Calmag after that flush gumball suggested.

I hope those lights went out after those pics....if you are foliar feeding you need to do that right before lights out or risk burn spots on those leaves from the lights...

http://www.americanagritech.com/supplements/cal-mag

if you are having a hard time finding it for plants, you may be able to use a human health food supplement such as this

http://www.affordablesupplements.com/cal_mag_fizz.asp

look at the label though. everything looks ok except for the "Mineral Blend" at the top, and the "citric acid fructose" in the ingredients. If I was desperate, broke, or just couldnt find it anywhere I would use something like this in a very low dose, like 2.5 ml to a gallon of water. hope this helps ya

Mineral Blend: - 10 mg
Total Carbs (g) - 1.5
Sugars (g) - 1.5
Calcium (mg) - 500
Vitamin D (IU) - 200
Magnesium (mg) - 200
Vitamin B1 (mcg) - 750
Vitamin B2 (mcg) - 850
Vitamin B3 (mg) - 10
Vitamin B6 (mg) - 1

and heres some of my shots of my babys who are now outgrowing their space, and im still no closer to knowing which are male and which are female they're all pretty damn tall at this stage, I only have my widow to compare it to and tbh they look completely different :S

So its been a while since I updated so here goes :)

Today I checked on my white widow to see if it looked ready to harvest, I noticed quite a lot of burn going on to the plant as can be seen in the pictures but only to the top of the plant, after some reading I decided it looked ready enough to harvest and dry out, also this would be best to prevent further deteriation to the precious baby So i harvested the top of my plant and now have the rest of it still in my chamber to let it mature further.

IMAG0228.jpgIMAG0227.jpg

IMAG0231.jpgIMAG0230.jpgIMAG0233.jpgIMAG0229.jpgIMAG0232.jpg

I think I made the right choice here, but would love your guys opinions :)

Oh and my babies are coming along nicely only managed to find 1 male but still keeping my eye out :P
