building a grow shed

What's up yall it's been a long time. Been busy moving to a new place a Lil more secluded, anyway there isn't anywhere to grow inside. So I'm about to have a couple grand to drop on building an 8x12 grow shed, I know it's usually not a good idea but I'm planning on insulating this thing as much as possible and building it like a small house. I'm thinking sealed room, 24000 btu Mitsubishi or pioneer mini split and having a buddy of mine run a brake box and timers threw out for lighting and whatnot if I don't figure it out first. I'll only be running a couple600 hps llights for now but I'm planning on upgrading to around 6 440w California light works led's. Co2. Oh and I'll have a 3x3 tent for some mom's and clones. Lol well that's the plan. I build buildings for alliving now so I think I got this haha. But any pointers yall have would be greatly appreciated.

Decent sized wall and roof caverties for when you are rewiring/re-plumping or trouble shooting. Under floor exhaust outlet (fools the heat sensor helicopter i saw somewhere...)

Couple of whirley birds on the roof to help with heat build up

Phase 3 power..just because and its handy.

Water tank from rain gutters for rain water.

Beer fridge

Strippers pole

Invite for Lucky.

Don't waste your money on the LED's you can do much more with much less. Use 600w hps lights for flowering 1 per 3x3 area. Use t5ho lights for vegging 5k lumens per square foot. You can subsidize UVB with reptile lights or tanning bulbs much cheaper than buying those LED's if you want it. If you put the flowering plants in grow tents as well it would be easier to control the odor with a carbon scrubber. What challenges have you run into so far? ~potlike

Now days they come with windows. Mine does. Get a 18000 btu window unit for few hundred bucks. Then use foam board insulation 2" on walls and double it up on cieling. Also mine is a lofted barn style so you could veg up top. I would put t5 up on top and 4 600 on bottom. Goodluck man

if u are legal area build this bad boy
http://handyhome.com/greenhouse-sheds/phoenix-solar-shed/

if u are in illegal area but are safe enought to do it with a southern exposure
same thing

illegal area but safe to do something .......skip the shed as u are going to spend more money on insultation and sealing it then needed
your about to love me in the none gay way
walk in freezer/ cooler
they sell them ......u need a concrete pad for it set it down and build a simple wooden frame with cheap siding a roof
u just need the shell of it......the workings to freeze and alls it the bulk of the cost so u are looking at the cost of a shed for a insulted air tight room
they sell DIY kits

this way u are good to go for a Co2 burner ....a DIY will be in pannels so u could modify before even locking in ..........rem this is air tight so make a working vent system so u have oxygen at night time for the plants plus so u can breath for prolonged work in the area

and it is pro insulation .......meaning no IR singal seen tho these walls doors roof or floor

Ya I currently grow with a couple 600w hps and love them. but I was under the impression that I could get the same yields with less watts. I know it's more expensive and I'm pretty sure the UVB bulbs are useless at the distance the LED's have to be set at lol. I know they are gobs more expensive but less watts and more yield has really been grabbing my attention lol. And I'll be honest, when i try to get into the diy cobs it'd like reading Chinese. I would need a parts list and at least some kinda diagram to figure it out lol

How bad will a 18000 btu ac leak the stink haha? I can easily put a window in for 1.

For an 8x12' shed an 18000 btu ac is overkill. From experience you could go with a 12000. 2 gavita 600/750s and a couple t5s for veg. Or if you want to get spendy the Cob Leds are where its at. More light, less heat, more flowers... Also, as long as your window A/C is sealed, as in the little vent you can open up (you can tape it sealed with ducting tape) it shouldn't leak any stink. Make sure your carbon filter is on point, and you should be set. Figure out what you want your setup to be and build around that.

I would think 6000 btu per 1kw would suffice. I said a 18000 window unit and 4(600). You'll be fine even when it's 105 outside. But that freezer is probably good idea. Justugh has always been pretty innovative.

Yaaaaa the walk in coolers looked like a great idea. But i just don't think i ban swing 1 with my budget and then get the rest of what I'm gonna need. Idk. I'm still looking into 1
