Haha that's tight. So they are seriously ok with you slinging golfballs at their house? What do you aim for?

Sort of an up and down week. Early in the week, Kosher Kush (front left) and OG #18 (front right) both showed signs of over fertilization (downward hooked leaf tips). By Wednesday everyone looked a little off so I pulled one out of the cup and found a nice mass of roots curling at the bottom, probably a little root bound I concluded. Transplanted into 1 gallon pots a couple days earlier than I planned. KK and OG went into 1/2 starter soil, 1/2 Roots organic, with just a couple handfuls of super soil at the bottom of their pots. Everyone else went into super soil with lots of myco fungi sprinkled on roots and new soil. Topped with a light layer of worm castings.

Saw an immediate improvement in everyone. KK and OG leafs have started to flatten out. Green Crack (back left) is now showing a little sign of over fertilization so she may slow down a little while she adjusts. I started bending over stems last night but not tying them down. Just trying to stimulate a hormone release to bush them out a little more. This morning I was surprised to see them looking a little over-watered. They haven't been watered in 2 days so I'm thinking they are still waking up...we will see. Could also be an issue of them getting higher nutrient soil. Anyway, I am watching them closely even though I don't plant to do anything but let them dry out. My fan is out of the picture but on them 24/7.

Will transplant again in about 3 weeks I think. Should know in next few days if I put them in soil that is too hot too soon. Cot leaves are yellow or already off all of them.
hey brother they look great but take the fans off them they need sleep you need your rest so do they

Hey Grow 4, thanks for stopping by. My fans run at different intensity levels most dependent on greenhouse temps. One small oscillating fan stays on at night if I am running heat, otherwise it usually is off. Based on my grow experiences, I like air movement around my leaves during photosynthesis so afraid the fans will stay. As for plants sleeping and needing rest...can't say I know what you are talking about.

Cool bro, have a great move to Colorado and good luck with your grow!

Thanks DP, I've grown in some pretty shitty locations before this greenhouse, but I still enjoyed hanging out with my girls as much as possible. Thanks for stopping by!

Week 13

week 13a.jpg week 13b.jpg

Seeing some signs of excess nitrogen but I'm not feeding anything other than AACT these days so hope issue will correct itself as plants get bigger. Otherwise another good week. Minor tip burning associated with Azamax applications but not a big deal. Topped the Green Crack for 4th time this season.

after your help in my problem post I wanted to see your grow outstanding. As a noob I still have a lot to learn. I used castings in my soil also but I don't understand the tea making prosses and the proxide can you mix with water and foil spray to prevent mold?

Hey mrtedro, thanks for stopping by and the nice words. Actively Aerated Compost Teas (AACTs) are essentially very large masses of microbial life, with a little organic food sometimes tossed in on the side. In organics, the plants call in the specific bacteria they need based on the waste the roots are pushing out. So if you get these bacteria in your soil in large populations, they feed your plant exactly what it wants when it wants it. That's the short version but if you do a web search on AACT you'll find tons of information.

You can use diluted hydrogen peroxide to beat back powdery mildew but not sure it is the best as a preventative measure because it breaks down very quickly. I use it for cleaning my AACT brewer and for adding to my mist fan reservoir. My reservoir water is rainwater off the roof so who knows what kind of spores are in it. So killing them seems like a good idea. I was also concerned with water pooling on the plant and setting off spores that may have already landed on the plant so in my mind this would kill those spores as well. Not sure though so I also spray some products on as preventative measure for powdery mildew. Only had it once just last year but that was enough for me.

Cheers!

Just spent some time here. Feeling relaxed. Funny how self-centered people can be (talking about myself) as I was rather disappointed when I got up this morning after taking the time yesterday of pulling and putting pics out here that there was just the 1 alert. Then it hit me that I had seen your coupla nice comments and had seen your link but never bothered to check it out...and boom...my morning slice of joy has been met just by forgetting about "me". Ha. I will smoke a nice Partagas 1845 Oscaro Extra in your honor this evening. Thanks for the tour.

Thanks BD, I am honored. I haven't smoked the 1845 Oscaro Extra but have enjoyed many nice Partagas. I'm smoking Quorums for my everyday cigar and not splurging a whole lot these days on nicer sticks. My splurge sticks are the Opus X, Padron 1969, Oliva V, La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero, Rocky Patel Decade or 15th Anniversary. I will look for one of those 1845's on my next trip down the hill to reload on cigars and smoke it in YOUR honor.

You should start a journal here to get all your grow room build and plant shots together in one place. Cheers!
