My PM just started and it is just a few spots on one plant, but time to start weekly spraying again. Ugh. Was hoping I wouldn't need to, but this cool humid weather is a bitch. You might want to do a post on using that furnace exhausts in the general forum and see what kind of comments you get. I just don't know enough about it. I think there could be more in there than just CO2.

Week 23 - Flower Week 7

week 23a.jpg week 23b.jpg week 23c.jpg week 23d.jpg

Abandoned my tent at 2am due to cold and awoke to a light snow and temps of 26F outside. Probably season over for those growing outdoors without protection. My greenhouse hit a low of 45F with two heaters on full. I can't add my propane torpedo until one of the girls in the corners is harvested, just no place to point it until then. Supposed to be back to normal Sept. temps tomorrow but today's high is forcast at only 46F. So I'm glad my girls are still alive and doing well but don't think I'll get any production out of them today. Could not see any new signs of powdery mildew but will be watching them close and continuing to spray regularly. Looks like the hard part of the season is upon us.

Man, you probably won't like to hear this but, if I were you,
I'd probably get rid of my worst plant. Maybe one with the most pm. And get that torpedo in there ASAP.
I only say that because of the one time I grew in my garage in the winter without heat. Nights 38-40 f
At night 60's with light.
Cold would not let them mature.
Slowed growth down to almost 4 months flowering! Still didn't finish right and pm everywhere! That slowed growth too.
It was a nightmare.

We will back in the 70s tomorrow and my PM was 3 dime sized spots on 3 leaves. No chance I'm pulling the plug on anyone because of a little PM and an early cold front!

But I appreciate the advice and who knows, I may come to regret not taking it.

Lol I get it.
I was traumatized that winter.
I refused to put an electric heater out there. The heater used twice the power as my light.
Plus I'm in San Diego, and I know nothing about Colorado weather.

Yeah, electrical heat is not cheap. But what really kills me is when the temps hit the teens in late Oct or early Nov. I can burn $20 a night in propane on top of the electrical. But you gotta pay to play!

Wow, glad it missed you! Tomorrow looks like a good drying out day. Couldn't even open up to air out today.

Thats crazy i live close to breck aver 10k and today was a nice sunny day for us up here.
Its funny how often we have such different weather from you guys in the high country. What a difference a day makes! Maybe nicest day of the year today down here with sun all day and low 70s. The girls look very happy and productive.

Half a year in the making and a bit farther to go. I will definitely cage them next year or start them later. Branches beginning to fall over from bud weight so keeping busy tying them up. The girls in the smart pots are all going yellow so I don't expect them to reach their genetic potential, but they will surely smoke nice. Next year I'll set them up differently. Time to focus on the buds because the fan leaves are only going to go down hill from here. I had surgery for a deviated septum on Wednesday so hope to be able to smell them again in a week or two. I miss not smelling them!

Mine are starting to fade a little. got some yellow on a few plants, tried everything in the book to green them up. It seems to be a natural fade because I cant stop it. I guess they are getting close. I have a few that im not going to run next year because they don't finish. This was a trial run to see what grows good outside for me. Im getting excited dude! I have a good six week cure on my hash. oh man is that stuff tasty. It gets better every time I smoke it.

That's what I like to hear! Glad you are getting some good results and know what will work for next season. I've got some hash curing as well but I'm on day 5 of not smoking anything. So even if my hash doesn't get better I'm going to get my tolerance down for the first time in a few years and it will just seem better!

I used the hot water bottle press that frenchy cannoli uses. I never used to decarb it because I use it in medibles and heating when I bake always decarbed. but I see why Its a good idea now. Its takes on a completely different taste and smell. If you haven't checked that thread out you should.

Thanks DP, I think I may have skimmed that one already. Yes, great flavor from pressing and heating! Better storage too!
