thats just the way that phenotype grows. ran her three times this is the forth time i think. it grows better outside in a greenhouse. the branches kind of bend down. i have to shake and twist to get her to stand upright

I've got branches tied off across the plant and several loops of green twine wrapped around them to keep branches supported. I keep tucking stems up and in to the loops of twine. I'll probably have to start crossing them on top if they grow much taller to keep them off the roof. Anyway, not an au natural branch structure. Thinking hard about going with cages next year if it doesn't destroy the vibe.

Week 21 - Flower Week 5

week 21a.jpg week 21ck.jpg week 21gc.jpg week 21kk.jpg week 21mh.jpg week 21og.jpg week 21tb.jpg

Pic 1 - greenhouse is full and getting too crowded for overview shots of girls, will switch to bud shots going forward.
Pic 2 - Chocolope Kush
Pic 3 - Green Crack
Pic 4 - Kosher Kush
Pic 5 - Mekong High
Pic 6 - OG #18
Pic 7 - Tora Bora

The girls in the 60 gallon smart pots are all going yellow from bottom up so I have increased top dressing. Put down 2 cups per plant of organic 5-5-5 Happy Frog on each one. Made notes to start feeding them at beginning of August next year if same size. I have about 4 inches of ceiling room left on the Chocolope so will start bending her over as soon as she touches. Surprisingly the Green Crack more or less stopped upward growth after the 5th topping. I don't think she'll get to the ceiling now.

not yet. luckily it only gets that cold for a few hrs at night up here so I'm not sweating it yet. Ihad a few of mine out early may this year and it was around 37 without a greenhouse protection.

i like the look of that furry mekong hope she fills out 4ya
Me too, but I don't know that she has it in her. I'm going to have low expectations and hope for the best. Doing the same for OG #18, she just hasn't looked great the whole grow and is budding very slow. Green Crack just got some aroma in last 24 hours so starting to smell pretty nice in the greenhouse. Love the aroma wave when I open the door in the morning!

That Mekong looks like its got some beautiful, classic sativa buds! Love sativas! Have you ever tried cloning off a mother plant? You can take a couple weeks off the flowering time that way. It may also be worth taking the time to build a more sativa-friendly soil mix just for the special ladies. Either way, looking great Bug!

Thanks DP!

I'm on a 6 plant grow plan to stay legal and I want all to be different strains so cloning doesn't work for me currently.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on how to set up soil differently for sativas. The Mekong is 75% sativa with an expected October finish so more of a sativa dom hybrid. Anyway, she seems to want a lot more N than I would have thought.

I love smoking sativas, just hate trimming them! If she doesn't set up with dense buds I'm going to hash her.
