i would recommend you do some more reading about using molasses before you go dumping it in your res. i have heard great things about it but that was from soil growers. the molasses is used to get certain bacterias that are in soil to grow and break down the dirt and make it more absorbable by your plants. i dont believe t has any efeects in or as much effect when used in a hydro system but thats what i have read. as long as your using your nutes as labeled and adding some of the add ons each nute company has it dont think it makes mush of a difference

Yes, molasses can work for *some* grows, but not for all of them. Soil grows tend to be less temperamental (from my experience), but that's not enough reason for me to try out something as even more temperamental as molasses.
I would just say that you use a product that's made for growing weed, not just a something that seems to be cheap and natural.
I mean, I get that folks want to find their own way and damn the man and all that, but seriously? That's really not enough of a reason for me. I mean, I hate giving up my money to big companies too, but I also like to get high. LOL
So, if I can get a good harvest with actual weed nutes, then I'm sold. It's results I care about, not principles. I mean, I fight for MJ to be legalized, but as for how I'm growing, I don't care what nutes I use, just that they work.
WAit, what was I saying?

Cannabis doesn't have any outlandish nutrient needs that would require growers to buy 'cannabis specific' nutes. It's a fast growing annual that can thrive on a simple NPK ratio of 1-1-1 and as long as the secondary macro and micro nutes are there, you'll produce a top quality product. It's when growers think that this plant is in some way different than any other plant on this planet that they get duped into spending too much on fertilizers. I just think us growers want to complicate the growing process as much as possible thinking that it will in some way translate to a superior product. The ICMAG comparison is great in that the control looks identical to the other 'treated' buds, IMO.

Go spend your money on over priced and over hyped products. Ill stay with soil and molasses, your guys' bud candy is just fancy advertisement. These people know how gullible you people are, especially taking all advice you see on forums. Do your own experiments if you really think you'll do better. Compare your results with what you see here if you feel it necessary. I know I'm not making these soon to be monopolies any stronger...

Lol I have a bottle of bud candy sitting in front of me and the only ingredient it list is .5% water soluble magnesium.. that's right 1 ingredient and it's magnesium - so what are you talking about?

I use bud candy and at $20 a crop i wouldnt trade it for the world. Every person that smokes my weed comments on the taste and it helps yield to boot. I cant say if it makes the high any better but there are definatley more crystals with then without. Personally i like and believe that plant specific nutes are a good thing and i dont mind spending $100 a crop to get the mind numbing results that i do using the AN line. Im going to try some house and garden for a comparison on my next grow..sorry Ive gotten way of topic like most stoners do lol. Buy the Bud Candy ...its a win win for you IMO.

Hey guys , i read some of the people who have or think of putting mollasses in the tanks dont do it, use bud candy instead. Mollasses work only with some medium, preferably soil mix of somesort. The sugar in the mollasses has to be first broken down by the micro and macro organisms in the soil before the plant can utilize them for growth and flowering. That takes 6 hours to a few days to happen. Mollasses is great if used correctly and something can realy boost things up, mollasses with voodoo juice or phiranha work wonders. All the millions of micro organisms will feed on the sugars and then you will see the result. Bud candy was designed for quicker uptake by the plant, thats what ur paying for is the simplicity of the product that is very flexible for all grow methods.

thing's like sweet, budcandy, etc. are just tweaked version's of molasses...
some people said it best , most are just that...
but in hydro, these have buffer's you need for successfull hydro growing..
so ya they are worth it but finding the best one and cheapest is a hard question to answer and is all on you really...

Bud Candy absolutely does contain magnesium. Its mainly a magnesium supplement derived from magnesium nitrate. Molasses on the other hand, is packed with potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and sugars.

I use carboload in the last 4 weeks of flower and there is a noticeable difference in crystal production. I'm not sure how everyone comes here and are so upset on the price??? Dollar for dollar, for me, AN has been the most cost effective line of nutrients I have found yet. Mole...asses does not work well in hydro and is hard on pumps, lines, drippers and clean up can be a bitch. Personally I would use something formulated to be mixed with other products.
