Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

That's the HID flagship is it not? With a watt for watt comparison, an LED "lamp" can be built, consume the same energy, produce more photons in the PAR range, over a larger footprint, which will guarantee more yield......
no, you guys are using hondas and wishing they were harleys, it just isn't going to happen

I've never used a tent
How large is your space?
I'm planning to upgrade to LED when it warms up but can't afford to have a light shining down on every square foot of my space.
Quantum boards spread better than cob, right? But cobs penetrate better?
Maybe a combo would be best.

Admittedly, I don't know much about LED gear -- but I'm going to have to figure it out soon... :???:

I still think he is running his fixtures too high above the plants.
They might have reacted badly at the start but they get used to it.
I keep having to lift my LEDs as the plants keep growing right at them, with no harm.
Nice tight node spaces, super healthy leaves, maybe a bit nitrogen-rich, just the way I like to go into flower.
I am still waiting on the one girl I repotted to come around, But I think I can flip tomorrow. I did buy some bulbs to start up my veg box again, so I can move the clones and other vegging ladies out for the next 52 days.

My 320W units are set up to put down +-50000 lumens @ 3000K on 2'x4'. I just adjusted them up a bit tonight to start preparing them for the flip.
It is fuggin bright.

then why are you so angry and hurt, is it because they made big prosises about led and you found it wasn't everything they said. or you bought cobb lights and the next week they are using qbs? LOL
Angry? I'm not angry is that really the best response i get? That's all hps guys can ever say "you mad bro" when your done with highschool start growing some bud and you will learn.

@Chunky Stool have you seen any big ops try? ive seen QB builds with cobs on the corners to deal with that issue. i think its initial cost thats stopping them.

GML is giving it a decent crack but he's made quite a few mistakes...the usual cal/mag and transpiration issues when crossing over from hps etc. its a great grow though! I reckon his next round of led will be the one that wrecks the hps
Yeah, I'm looking for something with good overlap so I can cover my space with two units.
Right now I'm running two 600w HPS rigs that cover and penetrate well. 1000w rigs would yield more, but they are less efficient and not worth the trade off. I'm in week 5 and next week I'll hang a bare bulb MH between my HPS rigs (for UVB).
