Buds for Less - CFL BOOK

When you watered your plants in this book, you never mentioned the amount (if any) of nutes that you put in the water. Did you only use pH balanced water and nothing else?

I thought that discussion would take place quickly. LOts of folks say you can't use Miracle Grow. I used it successfully for my first grow. Didn't know it was bad, fookin plants got about 15' long. VV

I am sure GK can clear this up but I was under the impression that he didn't use nutes; he used soil with the nutes already it it. I think he adjusted the ph of the water to account for the waning strength of the nutes in the soil.

I'm not sure if this is a question you would be willing to answer Garden Knowm, but I just bought your book today and read it cover to cover while at work. I noticed on the back cover you mentioned doing work for Espn in 2004. I'm not asking to just put your name out there, but would you be someone I would know by religiously watching sportscenter etc? Any hints to your identification? lol I've been trying to figure out the secret identity

hey garden knowm!
i have a seperate 430w HPS garden, but i wanted to start a small grow in two 30gallon rubbermaids (stacked on top of each other) with one 150w CFL. I just ordered your book and i'm stoked to check it out. i've seen it in a store and flipped through it real fast and immediately ordered it.

i just wanted to let you know that i think it's pretty cool that you support your book here and that we can ask you questions and stuff. i plan on loosely following the book. and by the way, this 150w cfl is a monster....i'm sure it'll do justice. =)

here's a quick pic of some arjan's ultra haze #1 about 1 week after flowering, starting week 2. this plant is absolutely loving the CFLs, except for when i let the top shoot on the left grow into the hot ass 150w monster. she got a little brown from that. i'm gonna finish under my hps after some bubblegum finishes. i had some bogglegum seeds i was totally excited about starting...i had been waiting for the perfect time forever, but my girlfriend accidentally stepped on the bag they were in and crushed them!! lol now i can't find anymore anywhere! so i got some bubblegum from serious seeds is really skunky and spindly...mostly sativa i guess. not what i expected. i'm thinking about getting 'the perfect garden' too. thanks

That should not happen?

The 42 watt bulbs should not burn or at least not significantly burn yor plants..

do you have a picture? how close is the bulb to your foliage?

cheers
