Bud smells like hay?

so my friend got an 1/8 for $50, supposed to be pretty good dro. i've smoked it a couple times and it was a very different high than i'm used to (usually just smoke reg), it made me really energetic and excited, like the opposite of couch lock. but the wierd part about it is that it smells just like hay. it doesnt even remotely smell like bud, it smells like a big bale of hay. anybody know what kind this may be? ill try to get some pics tonight

some local dealer has made a mess of curing it thats why it smells like hay.

its probably some beasters, thats why it smells like hay becuase beasters are never cured and dried right. alot of people call them dro too

it's probably somewhat wet and stringy, ya? maybe still fresh, and poorly cured?... my guess.

dealers without a clue get it on the streets now money in the pocket by sundown curing is the MOST important step in ganjas lifecycle dont ignore it people 3 wk minimum i live by 5wk cure and my smoke is creamy n strong like my coffee lol

In washington, people transport hay from the East to the west over the Cascades in Hay Trucks. Not all the time, but my last stuff was exactly like that. It had a light hay smell to it and was amazing.

I cant ever seem to get the curing process right either and my stuff will end up smelling like hay too. Growing isnt hard but curing is an aquired art.

It's probebly just a bomb outdoor sativa, outdoor bud smells like hay sometimes, but the smoke and the quality of the high can still be top notch.

Is the bud kinda leafy that could make it smell kind of like hay

in Canada people dry their dope out in barns from where i am from and alot of the time the drying dope takes on the smell of hay

good point about drying in a barn. it had no leaves in it but it was still really green but with a lot of fat red and white hairs. anywho, thanks for the replies guys

the smell is pretty potent when it's growing but as soon as you cut them down, it exponentially grows stronger.

I just cut my babies down the other day and they are just now starting to really really stink.

I heard once that bud laced with meth smells like hay but i doubt that is true

Just because it is not tight bud and smells like hay doesnt mean its not great weed,,, some people dont want to wait for a long time to cure but the weed is excellent a lot of time,, never underestimate weed,, I know there is a lot of spoiled ppl out there that love to bitch if their stuff isnt perfect in every way but you would be surprised how good some stuff is if you dont always go by smell and denseness,,, dont get me wrong, when you get bud that has all the qualities its damm nice but its not crap just because it doesnt have the right smell, as its the THC content that really matters,, I grew a lot of plants that were not dense, or smelt like hay,, but,, I had great reviews from my closer friends,, the ones that didnt bitch just to see how much more they can get for free,,, some ppl are just assholes like that,,, you know what I mean....................
