Bud Factor X is NOT a Magnesium Supplement!

Maybe use the expensive bottle in small quantities as a foliar like you have been doing, then pick up a bag of crab shell meal for the soil? Might give you the best of both worlds and not set you back much $$.
Sounds like a plan! Can you believe we dont carry crab shell at my store, we were just talking about it at my job while I was picking up supplies.

It's tough to source most organic inputs. I would LOVE to find a hydro shop that carried all of my goodies. As it stands I have to go to several different feed shops, and order a couple things on line.

Bud Factor X is a copy of GH Chi, not even sure if GH makes that product anymore as it was pulled from shelves in Canada like 6+ year ago.

Well my take on Advanced Nutrients. Is that they where of the only companies that came out and said that they soley resereached there nutrients on cannabis.. Like they actually do have some good case studies and good research on cannabis leading them to gain a competitive edge over some other companies. But as time went on a few other companies sprouted up with similar mission statements. CYCO RX Green Solutions are another two that I know of. But there could be more. AN has also some political problems with Big Mike maybe being a CHOMO and some other stuff. And from my understand a lot of people you talk to that are selling hydroponic supplies talk shit on them because they can really mark them up to high because of the cost already. So say they can mark coco up 35percent they are usually only going to be able to mark up AN to 10 percent. I am here in Co and friends with a lot of people that sell Grow equipment and they all say that that usually why people don't like them at Hydro stores. I personally like them a lot but I think marketing gets in the way of there end goal. There is no reason to have 15 additives. I understand some of it can't be mixed without shorting the shelf life or be mixed for reasons like lock out. I like RX Green solutions for this they have like 3 additives. Anyway Bud factor x is very similar to other products like Early turn and a few others. Overdrive is sorta close to because its a RNA stimulator too. AN is great are they the best? IDK. But everyone I know that isn't a professional grower that gets 4 pounds a light there using AN or Cyco.... SO there has to be something to that..

Cannabis plants uptake the same 16 or so nutrient elements as most other plats on Earth , Overdrive is simply vitamins which plants produce in abundance my themselves and "everyone you know uses AN and gets 4 pounds", maybe if they switched to another base nutrient then they would get 5 pounds per plant and how exactly does O.D. give you Up to 23% gains in harvest weight ?!?!?!??!?!

Well I am not 100 percent sure but I think Overdrive also does something like the product axin by RX green Solutions. it triggers the plants SARS response doesn't it? Or something like that.. There are several other products that have came out over the last couple years that does this. I am pretty sure there is some flower I can't remember the name of it off hand right now that actually gives the plant a final boost at the end. I thought they where at once called RNA stimulators. That was a big marketing name being thrown around awhile ago... Im not saying AN is the best I am just saying I have been around several grows and now that DE lights are the new standard and 3-4 a light is the new standard everyone I know that isn't a seasoned horticulturist or just starting out and hitting those numbers is doing so with AN and CYCO. although people who are more experienced can do it with botanicare or even house and gardens.. There all about the same. I don't just use AN I just use there base primary and nirvana. I mix and match a lot of other lines like Humbolts Own plant success rock nutrients etc etc... Everyone has there own personal choice.. There is no right way.. But Advanced Nutrients is not crap.... there is just no way.... Way to many people get stellar results.. I think genetics have a lot to do with the weight per light ratio more than anything.. as well as the new DE lights..

And now that there is serious research being done on growing cannabis not just the final product they are finding other things to give the plant that triggers growing patters that once where not obtained through nutrients alone. these might not neccesarly be perceived as nutrients but there defiantly is stuff that is beyond the 16 micro and macro you speak of... like Auxins that trigger the plant to thinking it is being attacked.. this in turn buffs up the immune response and metabolism thus causing the plant to work harder and be able to uptake more of those nutrients... as well as beneficials for the root zone to multiply and breakdown more nutrients with enzymes and etc etc... there are also chelated nutrients instead of just plain salts that increase the plants bioavability.. this is all AN really has up on the competition and now that the cats out of the bag.. a lot of companies are making more stable nutrients by chelation processes and using more organic forms..Im just saying Overdrive has something in it like some cambodian yellow flower that has some weird thing that it does where it causes the bud cells to keep dividing and stretching rather than the harding phase.. again other companies do this too.. So overdrive maybe shit now..Bud factor x may use some weird thing I am not familiar with i have used it it works i guess but so does crystal burst or snow storm or purple max. its all a matter of what works best for you your grow your conditions. AN keeps everything close to the vest you can't really even see what there products are solely made of.. I don't like that about them..

All nutrients that have been around for more than 5-7 years aren't shit and honestly there all about the same for the most part... Just a personal taste.. I use the AN base personally because its more stable for my water conditions.. Canna would be my second choice if i had more time and mount to dedicate to my water system..

i don't think any of the major lines of nutrients are "crap"...they just want to sell you stuff. its up to you to weed through it all......nm.......and decide whats useful and whats snake oil bullshit. i tried several bud boosters, and imho, they're all garbage. none of them are BAD for your plants, they just aren't good, either. picking a decent pheno, giving them proper nutrition, good ventilation, good light, controlling heat and humidity, these things are going to do more to get you good big tasty buds than any bottle of shit the guys at the hydro store are trying to sell you
