Bud broke off. Was it close?

Heavy rain and wind last night snapped off about four inches of the top of one cola. I took a close up shot of the broken piece this afternoon. I assume these are mostly cloudy with clear and no amber.

That being said, first is this worth drying and curing? It was a fair chunk of top, about four inches long by two in diameter. Second, I think I can ID trichs after reading through the info here, but for a first time grow, about how long until I see amber? Sometimes I can't get a look for a day or two.

Sorry for the crappy picture, I had to change it from .RAW to a low resolution format and cut the size in half. Thanks for any advice!

240, the amber you mentioned are you talking about the orange pistils, or should I be chopping this soon?

Yes I hung it up in the garage just to see how it will turn out.

No you can see amber trichomes and mostly cloudy.

It is what it is. If it was ready it was ready. If not, then it wasn't. Dry it and find out....Looks far enough along to not be a waste for sure.
