just to light up an old thread been looking at using bud blood with my iguana range so when i flip it says i use both my grow and bloom for the first week but im adding bud blood so do i reduce them to half or anything or just keep hammering the full strength was gonna use this during week 1 of transition do a week of water feed then go with oldtimers pk for weeks 3 to 6 does this seam right what sort of max ppms am i looking at with my grow and bloom + bud blood

Isn't BB a 0-40-30 or something like that? a plant needs half that P dosage in mid-flower, never mind the first day on 12/12, give grow nutrients the first week on flower is what most growers do, not a 0-40-30

i agree but the threads seam to say use it in week 1 or week 1 and 2 max and its 0-39-25 i believe

That's worse than giving the plants a double dosage of PK13-14 to give a ratio of PK26-28, not what any experienced Gardner does but its your call

this is why im on the thread asking for advice dood as this threads obviously going some time i just dont understand why everywhere says use during weeks 1 and 2 when it would be the worse thing to do lol when i looked at the values i assumed it was infact a pk booster but then the guy at the shop and everywhere ive read says week 1 and 2 lol then he gave me a free pk booster and said to use that from week 3 onwards im just going on what ive read and what ive been told dont shoot the messenger i was also looking at page 1 of the thread even the admin here says to use during week 1 so was just my assumption

The threads I have read about it says to use week one only, Never heard anyone with glowing reports in the years I have seen the subject pop up on the net but let us know your experience with it.

Hate to bring up a zombie thread, but I feel the info may be useful for whoever is looking to use Bud Blood.

I discussed bloom stimulation products like MoaB, Shooting Powder, and Bud Blood with my hydro guys. According to them, the primary function is not to merely boost PK. The products have hormones that induce/force flowering. The result of using it is meant to induce flowering earlier and reduce node spacing. These hormones aren't listed due to obvious reasons given by any company that tries to stay competitive in its marketplace.

What I've noticed is that the harvests where I skipped Bud Blood ($$$ saving decision) were not as good as the harvests when I used Bud Blood as described on the packaging. When I say "good" I am talking only about YIELD, not QUALITY OF SMOKE. There's no way I can tell you the actual return on investment with this product because I didn't track the difference and there were other factors that may have contributed to smaller yield.

I'm not going to argue with anyone over the usefulness or provide pictures. Take my feedback at face value and do with with it what you want: I think Bud Blood is a helpful product, too bad it's so damn expensive. You can pick it up in small packets (40g) these days for around $12 from your local hydro store and give it a try if you're curious. Testing it isn't going to cost you much and you'll have peace of mind having tried it on your own with your setup and your strain. :)

That would only be applicable if it was a side by side comparison with identical clones from the same mother.

He's just showing a comparison, you just use it in the first week. Groteck apparently just came out with a product that is supposed to be similar and is a liquid, might give it a go next round although tough to leave a product that works. Also there's a knockoff product called Red Sun that's the same as bud blood and costs 1/3 the price.
