Pretty Groovy. your setup is rather like mine, but i use a 5 gal bucket, coated with super 777 spray glue, and aluminium foil to block light, 2 airstones on a T connector so it fits dead center in the bucket every time, and the bucket lid is not on tight so i can rotate my babies by turning the lids. i made my pots by poking 2 mm holes with a large nail, every 2 mm in a large styrofoam drinks cup. (light flexible, tapers out as it rises, and soft enough that roots can push it open if they want.) my reservoir can be changed by plopping the airstones, and lid on a fresh bucket, and dumping the old one on the lawn.
I too will be using 5 gal buckets per plant. 1st time with DWC, so was wondering if the size of the net-cup matters?...i'm assuming it does and what medium do you recommend and can I transplant from soil to DWC? Also, how "big" can I expect my plants to grow? Thanks.

Just getting back to R.IU. after being away for quite a while, and I'm loving what I'm seeing! Beautiful setup, Undercover! I know this thread is years old, but it's new to me, so I got a few questions to ask, if you don't mind. First off, using this exact setup, but instead with 5 gallon jugs, what would you say would be the perfect size tent for 3 autos? The tent being as small as possible without effecting the growth of the plants, and LED lights being used so heat isn't a major factor

Undercover, Thanks so much for your contribution. I'll certainly consult your post as I start my next project. Cheers
