Bubble Hash..To press or not to press

I see it done both ways. Im just getting into the trade. I see guys dry, press, cure..and see guys dry and then straight to cure. Personally I like the way the unpressed hash looks but that is the extent of my preference. I have read, but did not retain, the chemical changes that hash undergoes when pressed and the various reasons hash should be pressed. Technically one could press and then microplane one's hash to achieve the benefits of pressing AND the unpressed look…but then I've heard arguments about microplanes rupturing the heads.

Your thought, opinions, and facts please!!

not.. just because. when u keep the trichomes hole.. u don't lose smell and taste as quicklyl as squishing them together. and rupturing them. atleast from my experience.
I have heard that. I have also heard that you may loose the pungency from the outside layer of your pressed hash but it retains inside..but then again, why loose any if you don't have to right?

He are two different batches of pressed and heated hash from my kief catch in my grinder.
My weed drops two grams of kief every 1\2 ounce I grind.
I am a lucky man with this strain.
I follow a recipe I found on YouTube.
My end product tastes like hashish from turkey.
I use a cellophane wrapper from a cigaret pack, I fill that with at least two grams of kief.
Fold it into a tight package and tape closed.
Wrap in paper and tape closed two times.
Wet package completely then put in oven
Heated to 220 degrees.
10 minutes in the heat and
Remove and then roll after ten minutes.
Wet again and heat again same ten minutes and a hard roll with a rolling pin.
(Any round hard object will work even a mug)
After second pressing throw it in the freezer for 30 minutes till frozen .
Cut away paper open cellophane and snap the rectangular cookie in two to remove.
Viola Hash, not concentrate hash you can smoke off a pin or hot knives or sprinkled on a bowl.
I have made every kind of concentrate at least once.
Some strong shit, but my hash is made from a byproduct of my smoking.
So I don't have to use weed to get my form of pressed heated kief hash.
Bless

So can you tell me why you have to keep your unpressed resin in a fridge with a life of 6 months to 1 year and pressed resin does not need a fridge and last years???

i dont know the science behind it . its just from personal experience.. that a jar of kief.. smelled way better then a jar of pressed of the exact same material... the kief also tasted better and wasnt nearly as harsh .. but from what ive read.. rupturing the trichomes allows for degrading to happen faster.. if i was you.. id try both.. its more about personal preff then anything. just like growing. flushing. what nutes.. what medium .. what ph you feed what ec.. its all personal pref.. all depends on the environment..

. its been proven.. that the same amount of weed and oil. put into 1 joint... doesnt get you as high or last as long as the same amount of weed and oil in 2 or 3 joints. so rolling small pinner joints.. is the way to conserve weed yes.. but its also a way to get more bang for your buck.. big joints are more wasteful... and i used to smoke 1-3 gram joints all the time.. now ill roll smaller joints with less oil and weed and smoke more joints and be wayyy more high off the same amount of product.

Nobody knows the science behind and I personally do not put my trust in other people taste or perception simply because it has to be more than in the "eyes of the beholder" to have any validity.

"So logically the cleaner the resin the stronger the improvement of the overall quality."

Ummm? No, I said something opposite.. I think, I never really follow your sentence structure, or maybe just your thinking

Pressing can improve poor quality hash, it won't improve pure trichomes

Let me rephrase that:"
If the resin is good enough to improve the purity of an average quality Hash, it would mean that the better the quality the more improvement you should have.
It won't improve trichomes but it will improve overall purity.

No..
Because its only improving by breaking down the crap, therefore its an inverse relationship..obviously

If you have less crap for the trichomes to break down less will happen. Its not improving the trichomes its breaking down other crap, and that doesn't mean increased purity just a better smoke.

This isn't necessary for "today's" hash and is only degrading it. And yes it is about personal tastes. Some are used to and expect high cbd content etc in their hash along with that flavor that goes with it, you know just the traditional hash taste. Like overcooked hash oil ;)
