no such thing as too much air. Most runs you won't need to change the water but if you don't get roots within a reasonable time it's fine to change things out. Everything else is the same as far as cutting. The 2 major methods are either stems in the water, or stems out of the water, both will work but if it's out of the water the more bubbles you have the better.

Success with any kind of cloning is about the mother health. If your mothers are healthy you should have no problem cloning. As far as what you put in the cloner, that's up to you. I've always used the clone recipe on the back of my GH 3 part bottles and pH the water to about 5.5 if I could. These days I don't have a pH pen so I don't but still 100%. You can also use just plain tap water.

I made my six spot cloner from a Home Depot bucket. I have no trouble at all getting clones to root within a week. My cost was something like 12 dollars total since I already had the pumps.

...same here...I got a bucket from the dollar store...I had a pump...threw in a air stone and I get roots in 6-7 days...no dome...I just use a simple fishtank air bubble stone and a small pump keeps the water moving nice...keep it simple,it works fine

Without pics and info on what you're feeding, what the plant is in I have no idea. Mothers don't need a lot of food though.

If that is in coco I'd think about getting some cal-mag to help and make sure that your pH is in the zone. Honestly they look horrible so cloning from them in that condition will lower the success rate.

Don't worry about the superthrive, it's not so great for plants only for seedlings. I read a study that was done on its use and only seedlings had any significant response. If you decide to use it, walmart has a small bottle for a few dollars that way you won't be wasting too much money.
