Hello guys and gals. I wasted some trim making brownies last time. I used 2 oz to 2 sticks of butter on simmer to 58 grams of nice trim @ 220 degrees for an hour or a bit longer. I used all of the butter to make the brownies but didn't feel anything. I think my mistake was that my trim was wet or still fresh! I am also using an induction cook top so I need to know the exact temperature to use and time. Also Do I need to decarb? I have dried the trim out this time and would like to do this correctly. I did this in the past with an ounce of regs to one batch of brownies and got fucked up. I have maybe 3 oz of trim and popcorn buds. all trim has crystals. no big fan leafs. I see so many answers on line and dont know what is right and what isn't.

2oz per 1/2lb butter is a lot it should be fine even that much just trim should have made two sticks strong.. your temps are fine too.. normally just cooking with it decarbs it fine or heating for the butter i make butter all the time.. butter.. sugar.. corn syrup all kinds of shit.. everything you did sounds right but its always hard to say unless your there..

heres 4lbs of butter with 5 oz pure bud no trim..

I cant be that much of a head! lol. Hmm do you think it has anything to do with it being fresh trim? I made brownies right after trimming. Do you use dried trim? do you think that makes a difference?

medibles is anything made with marijuana..yes they have to be dried the THCA hasn't fully converted when wet.
Oh yea I have had edibles before. I got tore up from the floor up! Been trying to archive the same but failed last time I guess because it was as wet as could be. I just got done grinding up 41 grams. how many sticks would you use for 41 grams? Remember its trim and popcorn buds

i mean an ounce of just trim if your grows are good are enough for basic levels. i normally would have put the 2 ounces into about 3 sticks.

have you smoked the buds? is the smoke okay? or really good

yes I smoked after 2 week cure and produces a decent couch lock effect. It is supposed to be around 20% thc. it is super skunk and not sure it could have been grown much better. I have smoked stronger but this does the job @ about .3-.4 grams smoked. I smoke all day every day. my tolerances are high but not with edibles if that matters. So with that said would you use 2 or three stix and how much final product do I use in one batch of brownies? Thanks for your help!

Ok I made the butter. I used 41 grams of nice trim and popcorn buds to 2.5 stix of butter @ 220 degrees F for 2 hours. Can anyone tell me how much to use in the family size brownie mix for a 13x9 pan. How many strong batches can I get? Anyone please as I am just waiting to add the cannabutter!

Use the amount of butter (in your case cannabudder) the recipe calls for. If your budder is now liquid, pour it into 4 oz. ziplocks (that's a cube or stick). If it's solid, a stick is 113g or 4 oz. You will have to measure it. You lost weight when you heated it up. How much, I don't know. When I make budder using the 24 hour crockpot method, I end up usually with 13 oz. budder after starting with a pound

Next time look around here for "24 hour crockpot" budder recipes. That works well for me. I've had really shitty luck using other methods.

Thanks for the heads up on the 24 hr recipe. Hopefully this works. when I find one that does I will use normal bud. Its worth it to me for the times I cant smoke. I got back almost 9 oz so I guess I did ok yield wise from 2.5 stix or 10oz. I used a potato ricer. here is a link, http://www.missionrs.com/missionrs-mfg-mrs50445-economic-potato-ricer.html?st-t=i00600001&gclid=Cj0KEQjw7r-rBRDE_dXtgLz9-e4BEiQATeKG7FFQnza5MaCdkhl0Qdql8cRQq_zbxoRxFlxrX_uq6tAaAiCJ8P8HAQ By far the best device to use. no need for filters and no particles in budder. I have the brownies in now. I used the whole 8.5 ounces in the brownies. it called for 6 oz so I just used it all. I let you know how I make out in a couple hours or when I feel it! Thanks ALL!

Good yield!! Hope it's not too runny with the extra budder in there. Ricer's are great for getting a little extra out. Enjoy the blaze!!

took 3 brownies in the larger 13x9 pan so i am going to check out the 24hr method and use straight bud next time. wont have more trim for about a month. I feel as though maybe I could have cooked it at a higher temp. I had it on 210 for most of the time down to 200 and up to 220. how important is dialing in the temp? I'm scared to burn off the budder if I turn it too high! Gonna sleep well tonight!
