Hi all!

Does anyone know if these beans are still sold anywhere, or is this now cutting only if you happen to get lucky enough to find someone still growing it?.

:peace:

Edit, cancel the question...should have dug deeper prior to posting. Sorry:

This breeder worked from around 1999 to 2004. The seeds are not available anymore, but some crossings and inbreeds of this famous strains you can find onto the actual seedbanks.

From my understanding you won't find the orginal Bro. Grimm for sale. I have been growing the Female seeds C99, which is supposed to be derived from the bro grimm. I've been very impressed with the strain, and though I have never grown the original after reading several journals by guys who have grown both it seems to be a good representation of it. I've also read good reviews of the mosca seeds version, but have no personal experiance with it.

if you find anyone selling bros grimm C99, and have some extra money, let me know. I have a couple very historical bridges I am looking to sell on the cheap.

those beans are gone, gone, gone.
anyone who has any left will not be giving them out, and at this point is kind of an asshole for not getting those genetics out there in some form or another.

But seriously, if I could travel back in time, I would:
A) Kill Hitler
B) Spend my college tuition on Bros Grimm and Dutch Flowers genetics.

And on topic, if you're looking for regular seeds, e$cob@r has some great crosses made with a c99 male, I grew the Holy Princess and it was similar to c99 but more clear in the head. If you're looking for a backcross, I'd definitely go with Mosca's. I haven't grown it yet, but I've looked into it a lot and it's the best one I've seen so far with a good amount of grows behind it. Classic also has a variety that he says was made from an open pollination from a pack of Bros Grimm F1s. Frost Bros also has a BX of the pineapple pheno, but I can't find it in stock.

Ah, Dizzle Frost is the one who got me started on this journey...my request for more pineapple pheno C99 has already been made.

I had 2 packs last year, then some dumbass who shall go nameless decided to clean the refrigerator w/o telling me...ruined my entire bean stock.

And since then, I have been searching for the same strain. I have 2 mother plants of another breeder's C99 cross, but it isn't the same high.

Classic seeds is the only source I know of who did a real open pollination on old packs of seeds. I think Joey Weed did as well but he's defunct now. Most other breeders have chosen to do selection. So the closest to the real deal is going to be in lines not selected. I'd go with Classic seeds based on a) they have a good rep and b) they're the only ones I have heard of doing open pollination. Frost might have as well but I'm pretty sure he instead has diverged it into a couple of lines.

He has the genetics but by doing selection has lost some of the original. It's inevitable.
Just noticed your grow sig, so you're the one buying up all of Sannies sugar punch fem beans...lol...you and about 100 others.

And I see you're a Peak BC fan as well, his NL is nice smoke plus I hear makes good breeding material.

PeakSeedsBC has some very good C99 if you ask him nice. I believe he got them from Dizzle Frost who sells them at Cannazon under the name Frost Brothers. I guess the best we can hope for is an experienced breeder who is good at selecting parents will be able to reproduce this much sought after strain. Why not?

Ah, the famous Princess crossed with C88. A marriage made in cannabis heaven. I loved it back then and still love it now. There was a time when I would put in some Ice Princess to my grow to add some WW to the Princess. These were and are still hard to beat as keepers in any garden.........For now, I really like Grapefruit from Female Seeds. It gives me a fair amount of C99 and nice fruity taste to go along with it. I have to add that C99 was one of most enjoyable strains ever toked. It worked so well with me and never had any adverse effects like severe paranoia or anxiety. Completely the opposite for me. With and edge to the high that always remained tight and in control of all around me.

yes, the c99 that peak has was gifted to him from dizzle, as dizzle is a huge peak fan and has used his gear in a few x's ..

Last I knew, Dr. Greenthumb had a C99 pineapple pheno strain. Haven't done much of his stuff, so I don't know much about it.

Just found an interesting cross on cannazon by eskobar...Chucky's Bride:

"Exodus Cheese clone vs Cinderella 99 Pineapple Male"

Hehe!, that pineapple is one popular pheno.

Probably because it flowers super fast, yields well (especially for a <9 week sativa) and produces an energetic, giggly, super fun high.
That, and the cubing work that the Bros. Grimm did with the strain means that c99 was a great plant for reliably passing on characteristics to its offspring.
I grew e$cob@r's Holy Princess (Santa Maria x c99 Pineapple male) and the smells/tastes were all tropical fruit in different combinations with a super sativa high.

I grew the original F-1's, and it's the strain I need for depression...been looking to replicate it with another sativa for a year now.

While I like the below strain, and have kept it alive...just doesn't have that soaring sativa effect I need:

OK- so about 5 years ago I germed an original pack of Bros Grim 99's. I had them on ice for about seven years. I was really surprised to get 8 of them to grow. I think I ended up with 2 males and 4 females after losing 2 young ones along the way to mutancy. Well I made thousands of F2's because even back then that filial gen was very rare. Well today, I can't get a damn one of them to germ. My deep freezer kicked out when I was on vacation a few years ago. I've even tried gib acid on a 20-30 cross section. They're still on ice, but it just kills me that I can't get these to pop.
