Thanks for the reply, I thought the Vf was 6 to 8 volts and current was 1000ma? anyway that would only give me 7 watts apiece, is that how you are running them?
So the lpc 60 will work for you. I am still running the 3w I am building a new setup with these now

All three should work!
Strips usually run at 50-65°C, so there should be no problems.
But strips don't need a layer of heat-conductive material.
Screw them tightly and ensure them for a good contact and more you do not need to do...
In fact, you do not need a heat sink to up to 60% of its capacity, and above that a simple aluminum plate or a C-channel is enough.

Hey Serva, Saw your reply to symbiotic6 and wanted to confirm these two 22" strips are for the EB series or Samsung, or either one will work out to those specs?
Will work with both strips.
H-Series= 22,8v @700mA, 32w
EB-Series= 22,1v @700mA, 31w
So difference between both are only ~1w...

Quick question guys... I have a couple of HLG120H-C1050A drivers laying around here...

Any way I could get these to power some BXEB-L0560Z-35E2000-C-A3 strips???

Or are they the wrong voltage?

6 strips wired in series per driver thermal pasted onto some ally and monitor their temp for the first little while. Should be find with it on ally and maybe a fan blowing on it. That's about 140w so fills the driver nicely with some headroom :)

74-148v is the range on that driver. Those strips are 22.1v @ 700ma so for 1050ma the vf would be say 22.5 (I don't know, you'll have to check the data sheet to see specifics) so if you wire in series you add all of the voltages together so since 148 is max from the driver (148x1.05a=150w) 148/22.5=6.57 so you can fit 6 safely on each.

Do you mean wrong current?

If you put them in a series circuit, at 1050mA, you can power up to 6 strips.

You could also do some parallel/series combination circuit, running the strips at 525, or 350mA to run more strips at each driver, getting a more even light distribution!

So I finally purchased 20 x 2' EB strips (6 x 3000k 8 x 3500k 6 x 4000k) + 2 x ELG 200w 700ma meanwells + 4 x full spectrum 100w epistar.

I ended up going with a small 4'Lx2'Wx5'H wardrobe that is already partitioned in half giving me 2 x 2'x2'5 chambers. I will be growing vertically up a trellis on the back walls, the pot will sit flush with the floor and the back wall is extended 1/4' so my vertical scrog is flush with the back wall.

I'm hoping to get the light so uniform and close that I can really push the efficiency up.. Maybe 200w total over each chamber. At first I will be using only one side as a vertical scrog with a single tomato and long veg time to cover the space. Then the other side I may grow one as a bush in the middle, sort of centralized and still vertical, so I could have strips on all of the walls and minimal from the top.

The final lighting array will be 24 x 2' EB strips, 24 x 2200k luxeon 24 x full spectrum and I was thinking of adding 4x 24w t5 eye hortilux powerveg full spectrum +uva/uvb but I'm unsure because I can't much from people using them.

Oops that's a mess of a post.. Anyway thanks guys you've all unknowingly helped me out a bunch :) much love everyone

From my experience...as long as you operate those strips at 700ma, you don't need any paste or heatsink. At 700ma, I operate 12 of them with a total voltage droop of 1.5%...way cool.

wow,i have a 700ma driver for some cobs and now i am thinking to run the cobs at more current and buy some EB series for this driver, you mean only mounting the modules to aluminum strip and thats it?

I have 11 running at 700ma, not even on aluminum strips, temps only get to 108f.....
Simple rectangular wooden frame holding them maybe 2-3 inches apart, that's it....open air light rack made of scrapwood.....

amazing, really taking eb series into account for veg, i have the hlg 240h-c700a , so 7 or 8 of 44v EB or 15-16 of 22v EB i think may fit :).

Sorry for lack of an update, just about finished up. Being "amateur night" had a few PH/nutrient issues As they got bigger, but was successful over all. Ended up with about 400% stretch (far red helped?) and pretty much ran out of room, top colas end up about 4" from light.I will post some photos/grow log next week sometime .

Been thinking about going with EB strips for veg and flower. Which type of driver would be best. Cc or CV. If CV would be better any suggestions. Already know what cc to use. Looking to flower in 200 to 250 watt range.
