I've done a lot of research on this for the last year and am ready to get it done. Looking for peoples opinions on: 1. Collecting Pollen, many different ways to do it and was wondering what works?
2. How to pollinate the Female, once again many people do this differently whats worked?
3. Any other advice anyone has to offer would be very helpful!!

Maine, I posted it there but did not see the breeders paradise thanks!
Passthat, that was my original thought too then I see all this stuff about wrapping the branch in a bag to collect pollen then wrap that bag around the female, etc.
Veggie, I will check out your thread thanks. I have the Grow Bible as well that gives good info I just always like to get other experienced breeders knowledge as well.
Thanks again guys,

Water, wtf? maybe flour, but I use nothing added.

Get your females out in front of your male, into flower, by a few weeks at least. that way there will plenty of budding sites and they'll be sticky by the time yer male blows. have fun making seeds.

It IS simple. The hard part is segregating the males and females of different strains. Water kills pollen pretty quickly. In room temperature conditions, pollen dies within a couple weeks.

Just put the boys and girls in separate 'dorms'. wet the boys daily to knock down and kill stray pollen. Move the selected male and female to a isolated location. Harvest and apply pollen to the fresh pistils(white hairs). Wait 24 hours, and hose the girl off gently, to remove any stray pollen. You'll see the calyxes beginning to swell withing a few days, as the pistils begin to wither. I usually select one branch to pollinate.

LABEL EVERYTHING. Write down what you did. A grow diary is critical to success, especially for old stoners(like me). I used six different males this year to get fresh seeds for older strains.

In a couple weeks I'll begin preparing some clone only strains to generate feminized seeds. I intend to photograph that process for a how to thread. Vest of luck!
