I'm just a few days from my 2 fireballs showing gender - they're in w/ 2 qrazy quake, and 2 F2 Jilly Beans. I also have two [possibly 4] Goji OG clones. If I get only boy Fireballs, some girls will get knocked up. I'm thinking GojiBalls, JillyBalls, and QrazyBalls; maybe Fireballs F2.
Confirmed: two male JillyBean [ trashed], 1 fem QuazyQuake [male trashed], and 2 out of two fem Fireballs. :eyesmoke: How 'bout that. :-D I've got rooted clones of all 3 girls, as well.

The Fireballs @ 2 weeks in: one is short and compact, the other strong and tall - would have bet it was a male, but confirmed a girlie. Any ideas on the 2 different phenos? BTW - the quazyquake is happy, healthy and vigorous.

I'm trying a partial sog out myself, partial cause I am going to flower the 3 revegged ladies I used to get all the clones with all the clones I have going. I'm still pretty new to this so I'm going to shoot you a couple of questions, I have a a 5x6 room. I just put 31 clones and six seedlings that will be the first to go if space becomes a issue. They are small now, they are fresh out of the dome with the fluorescent light over them (they were in there for 2weeks). Now they have 600 watts of MH about 36" over them. How long should I veg them? I was planning on a couple of weeks of vegging, I woulda liked to put them straight under 12/12 but they are small. Also I am going to flower with a 1000 watts HPS how far would you put it off the plants and how much area will that cover with 1000 watts. Your grows look nice, Bob. Shed a little light on the SOG scene for me.

hey green217, tnx
as far as veg time, just depends on stretch of your strain & the vert room you have.
I go straight to 12/12 or 7-10 days veg to get roots established, I like
to keep them short & turn around quick.
31 in a 5x6 sounds like plenty of room, but you may have a hard time doing a sog
with two batches of diff size plants under a single light.
Im new at this too bro, this is just MHO, Im sure there are people in here to better answer
your questions.
good luck bro ✌

Appreciate it. Yeah those 3 moms are going to give me hell as far as keeping the canopy even.

Scrog them. Using a screen helps w canopy management.
Yeah I just transplanted the 3 mom's into 5 gallon buckets, I'm going to tie them down alot, and I have some screen but I don't want to spend to much time training the plants so I wasn't planning on trying SCROG yet. I need medicine soon. I plan on tying down 4 branches or so to help the plant's spread out some. I have not had to much of a problem with stretching during my previous 2 grows, and these are the same BB genetics so hopefully the 1000watt MH for the first couple of weeks of flower will help keep it in check. I have never tried to cover so much floor space before though, so stretching may come in to play more now than before.

Did you do a finished report that I missed?

What differences did you notice on the two phenos, ABM? Finishing time, yield, taste/smell, potency? Thanks.
I didn't take any notes while growing them but I can go from memory.

Finishing time - Short is faster by about a week finishing in about 8 for me outside. Tall needs to be supported or it will snap stems.

Yield - Tall yielded more with larger/longer colas where the short had smaller pine cone shaped buds. I went small this season so it's hard to say what these will do with some serious prep work and proper boxes/planters.

Taste/smell - Taste on the tall was a peppery, kushy, flavor with a spicy undertone where the short is a more sweet and complex flavor. I can't really speak for smell as I usually burn in a blunt which masks the smell.

Potency - The tall is more of an indica high starting behind the eyes and drops the lids quickly after a couple of puffs. The short is a more active high. Settles in the head and makes normal situations funny. :) This is far from a real review but I am sure that you get the jist of it. If you have any more questions I will try and answer. I know others are running it too so I am sure that we will have others chiming in on it soon. :)

Glad to help and hope it was enough info. I am keeping the short pheno around for a bit and will be probably running it again outdoors if I can get a spot next season.
From your description, I'm favoring the short one, as well, but obviously have to run them both.. Maybe it's a coincidence, but most often when there's tall and short phenos, it seems like the shorty is the preference more often than not.

Everything in me tent at the moment is Breeders Boutique Strains.
The Females I ended up with are 2 FIreballs (both seeds turned female!)(2 clones in photon)
One Blue Pit female in tent..(one turned male so binned) cloned 2 so have to wait for sex...
6 small dogs almost ready to harvest.
in this not up to date photo.. I had 2 nine # hammers turn male (the biggest ones in there)binned both them and one Blue Pit male I binned as well.
Tent looks real empty right now. cut the middle light off just running 2 600's on the ends.
