Breeder flowering time indoor versus outdoor/and sexing plants

So I bought some non-feminized Cannadential seeds in case clones are not available around here next year. On the package it says 7-8 weeks indoor. Will that be the same outdoors?

And when I germinate, how do I weed out the males early on? By looking I've never been able to tell until flowers show, and outdoors that's around August. I don't want to waste pots, soil and space to grow almost mature males before I find out

Outdoors in general takes a little longer than the indoor estimates, because the flowering schedule is induced slowly, a little at a time insead of switching all at once. Some strains are effected more than others by this, but all of em' are to some extent.
As far as finding the males, you gotta do some indoor work to find em' for sure. Plant them and start them out on like a 16/8 ort something, and after about a month, drop it back to 12/12 just long enough to get a pre-flower, them throw them under at leasty 18 hours and get em' vegging good again before you put them out. Or, you can take clones as soon as you can, and flower them, and then pull the matching parents that are male. The only [problem with doing it this way is your growing male longer than you need to, and wasting space, that's why I do it the other way.

that's the better way though as your less likely to get hermies by reveging the females.

The only indoor plant light I have is only big enough to germinate or get clones started out. I'm guessing if I started them with 12/12 they'd get a crappy start?

not really. ,I don't think, I don't do it, but alot of people grow seeds from 12/12 all the way. If you can, get a little 4 bulb 4' T-5 light for 150 bucks or so. You can do alot under one of those as far as babies go.

I had similar concerns, so that's why I use feminized seeds from now on. I don't have the time or space to grow out reg beans, sex, and take clones so fem beans have been my alternative.

I've grown at least 30 different plants from seed outdoors using fem beans from a variety of different breeders and have never ONCE found a single male flower.

There weren't any feminized seeds left. Everyone is afraid of no clones or seeds being available next year so they are stocking up, so the dispensary was out of feminized. Hopefully this whole feds vs Cali mess will be resolved without banning dispensaries and clones will be available next year. But I wanted to have something to grow if things came to a worst-case scenario
