i have been working with this strain it is mostly sativa for a long time locking down all the dom. traits i wanted.
my problem is. i did what i thought would be the last breeding, well the seeds start good and they all look great. they grew about 12 inches in 1 1/2 weeks and stopped growing. they had 5 nodes i haven't changed anything they light on 18/6. now 6 weeks and they are 13 inches. i was trying to breed auto in to it the last time around and hit a growth wall. please help

could they maybe be taking a break in top side growth, to pack on root mass before the next stage? (oh wait, you said they've grown only 1 inch in 4 weeks...)

From what i've read, "they say" straight ruderalis is naturally short and small... so maybe you got some size genes included w/ those auto genes?

what crosses did you make exactly?
your sativa you crossed to an auto and these are the f1 progeny?

Ok here we go. I took a sweet island sk and backbread it to the mother of the same to make a F3.
At the same time i did the same with a OG. So i then had a F3 sk and a F3 OG ok.I then crossed the two to make OG x sweet island SK which is a F1. I then open bread them 6 times in a closed room. Yes ive been working on this for years. So now i have a (OG x SK IBL) I then crossed this with a (Next generation island skunk auto) from attitude. Should have been no problem right. Well they are still not growing they are at 13 1/2in. now. i have separated them into groups with different light cycles. that didnt help. Im going to cross my OG x SK with another auto. Im looking for something fruity about 65day. Does anybody have any suggestion

and do you mean sweet seeds, sweet island auto because next gen doesnt have an auto sweet island.
if it stopped growing and is an f1 cross of a photo and auto it could ppssiblt y be a semi autofliwering plant? im not sure but pics would help

Yes the auto was from sweet but the sweet island sk i started with was from next gen. sorry for the confusion.
And i dont have a pic. because i cut them down and added them to the mulch. i have another 25 that popped 6 days ago of same strain now i have to kill them to because i cant wast time. And the search for that one perfect plant goes on and on. I really like the OG X SK i have but its too slow 14 to 16 wks. just to flower from seed its like 19 wks. its crazy
