I think ill go for 10 max.

Thinking about staggerd chopping as well..

Any inpout maybe,if you have ever chopped the upper colas first then leave the rest to mature alittle more?
Yeah that does help. Also removing most of the large upper leaves just a few days before you plan to harvest. It lets light through plus the plant may think it's being grazed on and react by putting out more THC to stupefy them next time. Just a theory but mine came out quite potent when I did it. Just more light penetration alone makes it worth doing though. I don't think they even need the large leaves at that point. They seem to naturally yellow even when well fertilized, so might as well help the plant get rid of them.

You do have to be lucky to find a really good one. I'm sure there's plenty of better BG crosses around. This doesn't even smell like BG really when dried, kind of when fresh though. I wouldn't recommend this strain over other BG crosses, it's just something people might want to try on the side. You CAN get good phenos, just that it's probably going to take a good number of seeds to find one.

Completly true Bob,

Between each 10 seeds from each seed bank only 1 or 2 is nice and the rest is not that good and very stretchy.

Thanks for the detailed answer Bob..

I defoliate heavily from veg to flower, the leaves that I cant remove is the ones that are stuck to the buds and I cant remove or Ill damage the bud itself..

Ill try to harvest the top only this time and check the rest later on maybe after one week or 2?

Cannabis doesn't naturally select for heavy buds. It wants to produce seeds using as little energy as possible with stretchy fluff buds. Heavy buds get moldy too easily so they don't live to reproduce. It does put out the odd heavy pheno though, so we have to do the work of finding them.

Growing one of these right now. Smells like bubble gum and seems to be keeping up with my Critical Kush plants. 61 days in veg from seed and it's over 4-feet tall. Flipping it to bloom now. Will post some pics when it has some nice colas.

I see this thread is 3.5 months old, but felt a comment would benefit anyone with Bubble Bomb on their radar for a grow...I tried a lot if Bomb genetics and the BB is BY FAR my favorite...Short, indica structure that is very manageable....the high is AMAZING....has enuf euphoric effect where its not just an end of the day zonk plant....you can certainly sit and relax with it...even after the indica side kicks in, its still functional.....It give a overwhelming sense of wellbeing...for me, its EXACTLY how I want to feel after a smoke session....For a smaller plant, its a 'sleeper' with yields...buds are dense and super resinous making them deceivingly heavy......mine lacks the true bubblegum flavor but is so candy sweet, it doesn't matter...I recently tossed out 4 strains to start over with new, fresh genetics...Something I seem to do every 2 yrs or so, and she was the only one I saved....I originally bought some bomb seeds for the THC bomb, but was not impressed with those at all....Glad I did it though just to find this Bubble Bomb plant....pic of bud on the plant at day 60 (harvest day), and a cpl dey nugs...YT
