Boiling nutrients for solubility?

Could you maybe literally boil a tea out of items you would normally use in a compost tea? It’s not something I’ve ever heard someone talk about but I feel like if you cooked down a bunch of kelp and alfalfa there has to be something good in that water? How long of a boil, how hot, or what would happened to the nutrients when boiled I would be curious to know the real science on...maybe boiling could be a way to skip needing chemicals which are bad and microbes which take time, for a unique organic food source? No compost of course because the microbes would die but just the dry amendments and some water?
