Boehner & Netanyahu - Going Behind Obama's Back

John Boehner made the very unusual move of going over Obama's head to invite Benjamin Netanyahu to speak before a joint session of Congress. Ben accepted, and the speech will occur in early March. Obama is pretty much in the right to be pissed, since almost all foreign policy "things" of this nature are traditionally handled by the White House. It's a clear shot by Boehner and Ben to undermine Obama's stance on nuclear matters involving Iran. Never mind if you agree with Obama's policy or not (I don't); this move by Boehner seems to show disrespect for the office of the presidency, IMHO.

I'm not a Boehner-hater. I just found this a bit troubling.

it's not boehner's place and netanyahu is stoking the fire..there will be more bad blood over this..you wait and see..i found this to be way more than a bit troubling..this is like insuboordination-ish..although lacking protocol for sure at the minimum.

i'm gonna say boehner is in deep shit over this.

disrespect? they've show our president nothing but disrespect since 2008.

after all, wasn't that the overall goal? disrespect?..get america to hate this president so much so there was no second term?

I think Boehner went even further than disrespecting Obama. Boehner showed disrespect for the office of the presidency in this matter.

Boehner just wants to watch everyone thru the NSA while jerking off and shouting "its for the kids" and "danger".....for the record I loathe both sides, but he seems to especially inept, easily bought and paid with a bozo the clown drunkard nose to boot.
I mean seriously, have you seen that bright red beet? it makes Gingrich's drinking problem [I mean bulbous fat nose of a chronic drunkard] look boffo
:peace:

Boehner is a clown and a typical politician but why wouldn't it be up to the speaker of the house to determine who speaks to the house?

We have separation of powers for a reason, seems like this would be his position's call and not the president's anyway.

With it being a foreign dignitary I understand why the state dept should have a say, but not the final word re: congress.

it's the lack of protocol.

netenyahu is head of state/president not just foreign dignitary.

it also is disrespectful.

I am.

I hate seeing this crying pussy in ANY kind of position of responsibility, and wouldn't let that motherfucker speak to ANY foreigner about official business. If I was a foreign dude I would totally fuck with this guy for being the pussy that he is, and make fun of him until he started crying or ran out of the room....probably to cry.

I'd bring a photo like this:

....and ask him to autograph it so I could take it back to my nation and prove to them that American "men" cry like the little girls and children from my home nation.

He's a woman in a mans' body, unfit to lead a cub scout troop, and should've gotten the boot.

Yes, disrespectful.

He doesn't need permission, but a heads up would have been the decent thing to do.
he may not need permission but it's like gifting your boss; you don't want to be the only one to do, you'll look like a suck-up.

boehner's not only sucked up but swallowed, too.

this went over in washington as well as a fart in church..huge faux pas.

wait.. so Boehner invited him to the White House or is Obama the speaker too? It's more like one frat is having a party and the next door neighbors are complaining because they weren't invited.

Sky, we don't have a King no matter how much you want. Take a civics course and learn how there are 3 branches to our government and who leads each one.

Quick, who was the last President to refuse to meet with the leader of Israel? I mean, before Obama, who else refused?

Thats too hard of a question for a BarryO supporter. I am sure there are a lot of fifth graders that would know the answer but they play dumb and say you are a jew? That must be some of that "wit" bucky was talking about.

Shocking that Pelosi agrees with you...

I'm not saying what he did was right and just. It was very disrespectful to both the state department and the presidents office. OMG, he was disrespectful!! That never happens in DC...

What I'm saying is that you can't name the last president that refused to meet with the leader of Israel and the speaker is doing his job. It's also disrespectful.

Do you think Boehner supporters are for or against NettinYahoooooo!? Would you say he is representing those he supposedly represents bringing in this man or going against his constituents wishes?
