Blue Widow - Dinafem

I was trying to hold out on writing this until I was able to give a proper cure, but it has been so impressive I just figured I'd throw my opinion out there. I decided to drop one of my BW freebies and honestly in the beginning of veg I really wasn't expecting much. It didn't much care for the solo cup and developed some type of lockout which completely resolved itself when transplanted to a 1 gal.

It grew tall with very little branching but as soon as I topped and flipped it started popping out very sturdy branches. Around week 4-5 of flowering is when I started noticing it was going to be something special. VERY fat buds, although not the most dense it was far from fluff either, that are a really great representation of the blueberry I remembered in the early 2000's.

Still another day or two away from being dry, but from the quick dry I can tell it's something special and is going into permanent rotation along with my Bodhi Goji OG 8 week pheno.

Yield: (9) Above average (2.5 oz in 1 gal) Have one flowering in 3 gal and it's looking to yield special
Smell/Taste: (9) You really get the blueberry
Bag Appeal: (9) Fat, sexy buds

I got it as a freebie but would definitely pay for a few beans in the future.

I also loved my bluewidow, huge buds, with big ol calyxes.
Liked to grow straight towers of buds, no branching either.
Was also a freebie I received 3 years ago along with shark attack , chernobyl and dairyqueen from the tude :)

whats the high like ??? ever so often you hear a report on this strain & its always favorable
Smoke is very enjoyable,,, Nice, thick, clouds on exhale, More on the couchlock side for sure but still makes doing cooking/cleaning/walkng etc more enjoyable.. Seems to not have much ceiling, so the more I smoke the higher I get, and I am pretty high.. With that said, I can go much longer between medicating.. Very nice smoke and only getting better with every second of cure

After smoking some more I would like to add that while it is more couchlock than spacey, it doesn't just put you to sleep like a bar over your head like a good Chem. It is a very enjoyable high.. Happy.. Body feels good.. So far, so good..

After some time in the jar I will say the smoke scores high for medicinal and commercial value but unfortunately the first run of this bean was not true grade A material.. However, it's a great daytime smoke and the bag appeal (crystal covered) + yield (big fat colas) earned it another run in larger buckets..

Smell/Taste has quieted to a 7.. Not usually my first choice, or the strongest, but anybody who has tried it seems to really enjoy the mellow high..

I will continue to update this thread as the larger BWs come down next month (earned a spot as this years X-mas present on bag appeal alone)

That pretty much sums up my free bean experience, as well. Great garden performer, but the smoke was disappointing. Typical Dinafem ime. I think I have a couple of these in the 'last resort' bin.
