Blue LED with my first clones

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I'm running an SOG with a few different strains that I had to piece meal together and I finally took my first clones Saturday.

I took them at 3-4 weeks in bloom. Some were 3 and some were 4. It's a very controversial style called monster cropping, but I like stepping outside the box. It's been two days and they seem to be fine. Time will tell.

25 site Clone King in a 25 gallon tote with a 13 watt blue led. I took 45 cuttings that all have top flower left in tact. Trimmed the lower growth.

From what I have read, the rooting for monster cropping clones can take up to three weeks.

I'll keep you updated as they go. Good or bad.

Next day the water was HOT and everything was wilted. I put a timer on running 20 min on and 50 minutes off and yesterday I saw tiny roots starting.

The heat killed a dozen or so. The 29 survivors are acting weird as expected. Some stiff leaves etc.

They seem to like the blue led so far.

Pics to follow later today.

Didn't know there was term for it..."monster crop". I cut clones into flower. 3 have been going since 9/20 and are just now starting to show some root bumps....finally. I picked them @ about 5 weeks into flower maybe a lil more. Also in a bubble cloner.

Changed the water out once after a week...pH drifted upwards a bit and nitrates were showing, so I changed back to 6.5 water and they seem to be doing fine, just taking a while.

Took them from this girl, one of my outdoor models, also have a couple of node sites that really aren't showing pistils, so thinking about cutting them, once the 3 existing root. :peace:

Good luck, this is a great way to pluck a clone from a strain you weren't expecting to keep and you were like...."Fuck" after it had been flowering for a few weeks!

Not controversial at all in my mind, in fact, I am only going 18 hours too, never done 24/0.

Transplanted 20 in to dirt today. 5 have tiny root pricks starting. 4 still nothing.

I wish I hadn't thrown away 10-15 of them when I thought it had failed due to hot water. Many of those would have made it.

At least now I know better.

After no real growth for about 10 days, the clones started new growth with some unserated leaves first, followed by normal serated leaves.

I fimmed many of them yesterday and they are doing well under the t5.
