a three foot plant would need to be flowered at about a foot tall.
depending on your grow media would dictate the size of the pot, organics/soil need more room, chelated chem grows not so much
in soil a three foot plant should have 4-5 gals, rule of thumb for soil/organic grows is 1.5 gallons per foot of growth (a general rule, not always)
So if I flipped from clone I'm not really getting anything? Everything I read says don't veg her and if I do keep it to a few days since she gets really tall.bif b I was done like 2 I would veg a few weeks. But I don't want to get stuck vegging plus not many people want to say you 2 clones...how would you grow 8-10:in a 2x4 close to get get max yield

supercropping will keep them down and you will get some crazy bud sites going,as i said my birds were 6ft no shit lad, buds smell what i can only image a rainbow to smell like lol happy growing mate

I found a few of the dd. Just wasn't sure how it compares. At 3ft what's a typical yield? I hope more that an oz.
probably an oz an a half, depending on your skills/lighting
if I was growing the SCBD in three feet areas i'd top to get four colas, and flower at 16", tie the colas down with fishing weight or a SCROG.

8-10 plants?
in 8 square feet?
too crowded man, you will be transpiring a lot of water, and they'll be shading each other.
with three feet as the limiting vertical factor, logic would dictate that girth would be how you get yield, but that means more vege time.
give them at least a sq ft a piece, and that'll get you two colas each.
top the clone at 10 inches, train the growth to give you symmetry (off a clone it won't be naturally symmetrical), train to 2 or 4 colas.

3ft is not a limit. My ceiling are 8ft. 2 feet will be needed for the leds. So I might up to 4 lol

OK so I just need to be patient and grow fewer. So between 2-4 plants and veg them 4-6 weeks?

well it depends on what your goals are man, for me, I clone/veg for about the same time it takes to flower, so my plants are a lil big. but I train to four colas or six depending on the strain.
match the canopy of the plant to the container size, and that way they all fit perfectly.
to maximize your grow yields you need to take time into consideration, as you cant move IN more plants if the flowering ones aren't done.
so the 70 days or so that I flower, is the time I take to clone, train, and vege.
but if you have three rooms instead of two, you can do all sorts of cool shit.
but I don't I have two rooms/sheds.

I don't either...I'm stuck in one room and I have a old cabinet I can use for a mother and clones. I'm a auto guy but I feel my auto's are missing something so I want to do a few runs of photos inside. Plus I always wanted to grow bd....I don't mind vegging for longer if I know can get my weight

for me an auto is just a dealbreaker.
I hunt for special phenotypes, an auto with awesome growth and herb characteristics would break my heart..
I also clone off clone, I do not subscribe to the genetic "drift" concept.
and I have had strains for nearly 10 yrs, the jack herer, blue dream, and J1 I grew for a LONG time.
mothers take too much space, and it's hard to keep them healthy enough to get good clones off

actually yes, got a clone from a friend a couple yrs ago, it was alright, sorta reminded me a lil of GSC
I didn't keep it though
I can get some cups of that as well. Would that be a better fit with my size restraints... I like that it has the durban in it. I'm staying away from gsc...people are losing there damn minds over that shit...blue dreams went thru the same thing a few years ago. But alot of people realize they couldn't grow it well indoors with the size and mites...lol...but it's still my #1

OK I just picked up 6 double dream and now I'm heading to home depot
you'll like that doubledream
good strain, I still have mine, and that's sayin a lot, not only am I fickle but they genetics around here are topnotch.
in fact for indoors the doubledream is a superior strain to the bluedream.
but outside?
the bluedream OWNS.
quite possibly THE best outdoor strain ever
in my opinion.

Dang I guess I did good. I plan on doing a V or U scrog to get the most out of my setup....trying to find out how long I should veg right now....

the doubledream doesn't stretch a huge amount at flower
i'd say it'll be 150% of it's size
so it'll add half more to its heighth
provided the light intensity is there the DD will flower pretty densely

OK I'll top it really early so my scrog can get real low. Hopefully I can get 3oz each plant lol...we will see

As far as light intensity what would be the bare minimum for a 2x4 scrog. I don't need the light to go deep since I'm aiming for a even canopy....um now I wonder do scrogs change light requirements?
