BlackJack, Confidencial Kush 400W Waterfarm Grows & 2 Auto Flowers Outdoor

Greetings RIU,

Been a while since I posted on here, but kicking off a new grow journal with 2 individual cabs with the same 400W HPS setup I have used for years (see other journals in my sig or feel free to ask anything if you would like to know more). I average around 350g per plant this way.

The waterfarm grows:
- Sweet Seeds BlackJack.
- Unknown Spanish Breeders "Confidencial Kush". This got handed to me from a local legend told me to just grow it, so lets see.

Outdoors in the Spanish summer will be 2 autos in 30l pots which a dutch pre mix soil. The strains our:
- Buddha Seeds Magnum
- Sweet Seeds Creme Mandarin

Will update in a few days, very sunny, around 25c outside. Indoor conditions are perfect will be transplanting to waterfarms tomorrow after the pebbles have had a good clean and soak overnight.. Then building 2 cabs next weekend!

Now in 10 years of growing nearly all methods of hydroponics.. I have NEVER grown outdoor before. I am going purely off internet research and tips off friends. But if anyone has some tips on feeding regimes/nutrients in flower for the autos - that would be cool. So far I got them in the biggest pots I could get my hands on, the best quality soil and just gave them an initial feed of 6.5PH water.

glad to see you back at it I moved one of my waterfarms outside late last summer it worked out good I started my diy unit for the sour diesel today it should be up & running by tonight I'll be using my old 250-400 switchable hps in a 3x3 room

Cheers mate, yer its a nice feeling knowing I can do all this without the sneaking about now... Naturally I am growing stealth in the loft still with my S & P TD Silent fans etc, but hey at least it will be unnoticeable from anywhere in the house - that I know having run this setup 4 inches away from my bed in Portugal lol This is pretty much perfect for me really and why I chose this house. I did want more garden for the dog and outdoor growing, but that will be next years challenge once saved up a bit of dosh! Country transitioning is not cheap.

Works going perfect though and 100% success rate on all the seeds so lets hope for a great next few months! My intention is to flower the BlackJack on a CMH from here or similar: https://www.hydroculture.co.uk/maxibright-315w-cmh (much cheaper than local growshops!) - I guess Agro and Daylight is Veg and Flower bulbs? Need to look that up lol If I cant quite splash out though it will be on the next grow which I have: Kandy Kush, Skywalker Kush, Girl Scout Cookies seeds for and also Cheesus may make a re appearance too! LED will be my next mission for cab 2 so I can finally be up to date, although if the CMH delivers it could be that x2 lol

Your DIY units seem to be decent and must be a fraction of the cost haha Yer HPS cant really go wrong with, just its dated technology now and I am feeling a bit left behind going through a couple of journals on here (Yourself and Stikman being included). Have you got much experience with Auto Flowers and what nutrients or boosters to give them once they reach flower? (Iv been told the soil in a big pot is plenty till budding). I think I will do 2 more autos I will kick off next week. The idea of having a pre harvest of 4 different strains before the waterfarms is fantastic - meaning no rushing or mistakes!

I've never grown an auto my sour diesel is now under 250 w. Of hps

Looking good mate! You will be well ahead of me on this one.. Whats the flowering time on the S.D? I will be leaving mine under CFL until mid next week 24 hours a day, then switch to 18/6 for 4 weeks and switch to flower.. The challenge will be having cabs running at decent temps!

The confidencial is a 7/8 week flower but not the biggest yielder so looking to pull around 300g. The Blackjack is 9 weeks and lucking to pull as close to 400g off that really hahaha

Cool. Will keep an eye on how she goes... I do want to try that Headband too, so will be sure to grab RP Sour Kush at some point in the next few weeks too... So much to choose from Il be considering a 3rd cab if the CMH brings the heat down lol

Anyway spent ages cleaning the pebbles and waterfarms out. Will be popping the rockwool cubes in the waterfarms tomorrow. Having to use tap water atm at least until the end of May.. so will probably be using hard water micro (luckily I have halve a bottle)

Yer man thats it. I have already delayed 3 weeks trying to be perfect with it just becuase I have space for once lol As the Spanish say Poko a poko - little by little. Im treating it as a 6 month project rather than try and get everything perfect and ultimately be spending 200 euro a month on weed I could do without.. Hoever my buddy just come over and was like here is a little welcoming present (first time iv seen him in 15 months):

Its his own strain which is a cross of Matunuska and Critical Bilbo... Jesus fucking christ Im so stoned, it stunk so much I had to roll a pretty weak and tobaco heavy spliff with work to do tday. Event that has knocked my socks off lol Good lad though tried to pay him for it and he would only accept a coffee lol Spanish = Nice People.

Damn, I really wanna try some more Reseva Privada to be honest. All I have is mates asking me if I have Skywalker Kush that definately left an impact around here even with 5 or 6 weed clubs. Pretty dissapointed with the quality on the whole with the weed clubs. After smoking my mates bud earlier it just does not touch the quality.

I've had really good luck with DNA/reserva privada ( same company different names) stuff I'm gonna order some of their gear soon as it does perform good skywalker performed very well for me r/p has the gyo series & lemon walker is offered & ive got to try it then there is the sour kush,kandy kush & golden lemons all of which I've not tried yet

Yer man, a friend of mines just started a new seed store stocking DNA and RP so Il get them at trade and grab as many as hel give me in variety I imagine, keep me stocked for a few years anyway. Iv had both Skywalker and Kosher Kush now off RP which have both made it in my top 5 smokes.. They really got the kush on lockdown! Sour Kush is the Headband no? Get confused all these sours lol

Autos liking the sun and indoor liking a cfl about 6 inches from them in a completely mylared mini cab still in rockwool cubes.. Just waiting for some roots to appear and the cube to dry out a little more so tomorrow or the day after.

sour kush was originally released with the name headband which was a clone only called 707 headband the r/p version won 3rd. in Amsterdam they changed the name but headband is generally sour diesel crossed with og kush I'm thinking ,the r/p version is pretty good I've heard you should like it kandy kush is an older strain but well praised I've grown their holy grail kush it's good too the only strain from them I didn't care for was rocklock

Ok well first update on the grow: Il start with the autos - not given them any more water since potting them, may have over done it as the magnum has been a bit shitty to get going tbh. The Cream Mandarin though is doing lovely. Il grab some pics of these tomorrow when the sun is out.

Next up the indoor:

Rooted like mo fuckers. In waterfarms still under a CFL 24 hours a day. I am just in the process of buiding the cabs for each 400W setup lol so its a bit thrown together temporary... Either way does the job and they will go under a 400W light in one cab on the weekend whilst they veg up on 18/6.

They are on a 2.5ml G/M/B ration of GHE hardwater micro with Advanced Hydroponics Of Holland Grow and Bloom.. Dont normally add any nutrients till after a good 10 days but they were so well rooted thought why not... Hopefully no regrets tomorrow lol!

looks good I'm trimming right now & it's not looking too good ( I'll break even lol) thankfully I've got the sour'diesel kicked off so I've got a minute to find another strain for the led grow the sour'd has been under my 250 hps since Monday it's in one of my homemade dwc/waterfarms in a 3x3 room I think I'm going back to single plant grows it is more simple

Looking good mate. Bud looks nice too even if yielf wernt that great. Yer I prefer the one plant setups just more control over the grows. More effort of course as I am experiecing now but whatever works I guess haha.

I'm kind of dragging my feet on getting the led room going as I'm wanting to stagger my harvest when I flip the sour'd I'll fire up the other room I'm thinking

Yo!

Sorry not been online in a couple of weeks. Been really busy with work, had to go back to the UK for a few days tooo. As such the girls are looking a bit hungry as I obviously played conservative haha. Anyway levels are pretty solid on both EC and PH both pretty much stable... Even so, they will be going up to a decent feed in the next hour and also going to 18-6 light cycle now I have the formation I was after... Tricky buggers to get going, everytime I added more nutrients the EC shot up so a fair bit of flushing and finding the balance - but the roots are proper nice now so it should be smooth sailing. Will be switching to 400 HPS on the weekend, no time to setup before!

things should take off from here I've got 2 grows going now I flipped the sour diesel may 4th. & im gonna flip the double plant grow soon cause I'm going to revamp my setup
