Black Widow RDWC SCROG

So I got a Black Widow clone & a Blue Sky (local breed) clone and they were big enough to take cuttings from. I had to take multiple cuttings from a single branch because the donors weren't that big. I have 2 20 gallon grow sites and a 20 gallon res. connected with 3" PVC, a via aqua pump (560gph) and a 35W air pump. It has proved to be very easy to manage nutrient levels & PH as the pump exchanges the volume ~ 20 times/hr. The clones have been in the system for about 2.5 weeks now. I ended up with 5 of the Black Widow which were cloned in rapid rooters & 1 of the Blue Sky which were done in rockwool. The larger ones in the pics rooted faster. I think I'm gonna let the screen fill in a bit more before i flip 'em.

Everything looks nice cept the multiple plant rezes..
Yea no doubt, after seeing the other dudes same setup on here go south. Roots all tangled up, then one plant dies and trys to kill the others!!

Your setup looks great though! Hope you dont have issues like some others have.

every time I grow I hope I don't have problems! I've done 6 plants in 1 chamber before with no issues. So long as all conditions are near where they should be issues really don't present.

You're going to at least have root competition (root binding.) This will slow growth..

Things are looking good. I cleaned up the bottoms a bit and am letting them go dark for a couple of days before the switch. Gave 'em a boost of Phosphate and a bit of SeaMag. I'm gonna change the res in a couple of days once the lights come back on.

so we're @ 50 days into flowering now. The difference in the 2 strains is quite evident. The Black Widow is about 1-2 weeks until death and the Blue Sky is probably a bit longer. The Sky developed 8 colas from the scrog! There are about 35 on the widows.

Hey just stopping in to check out your grow. Definitely some good looking plants and a nice diy set up.

I build similiar set ups in my grow room. But i run it as a rdwc/aero system. I use the same strong totes as do many others ive seen...lol. Im curious on a few things. How did yo go about connecting the 3in pvc to the totes ? Uni-seals or just silicone ? I use 1in and 3/4 in tubing on my rdwc part. I want to try and make my own undercurrent system soon with the same lp aero system in each grow bucket or bun.

I use uni-seals. This is the first rdwc i've done and am surprised at the low nute levels required to make the ladies happy; it has proven to be very easy to manage.

when your training your plants during veg and flowering do you continue to lift the net up to keep the plants totally underneath the net ? Just curious because I run a three seperate scrogs in their own 4x4 tent each with a 1k watt hps and co2. I grow four plants in each tent and get at least a lb. Ive been experimenting with new plants and some new nutes soon to get a even better yield. I havent seen the effects of the co2 yet. i have my first harvest with co2 nearing its end so well see how it goes.

i've been around!

nah I use metal fencing and keep tucking the main growth under every couple of days during veg. I topped all of these only once too. I don't use co2; my room is passively fed with an 8" vent to outside air then exhausted into the attic. I'm hoping for something like 1.5lbs outta this one. The mother plants are still in soil and are so scronny & pathetic!
