Hey everyone! i know molasse is a basic organic nutrient but i was wondering because i read somewhere that when you transplant your babies it's good to give them a little sugar to prevent from root stress.. Is that right or i was dreamin?

And how do you guys work with molasse? How many you put with how much water ... Boiling for how many time ... Sit for how many time? and how long is it good?

Thanks!

Have a good one!

Never really heard of molasses specifically at transplant, but it can't hurt. Molasses isn't so much a nutrient for the plant as a food for the beneficial microorganisms in your soil. These micro beasties are the ones who feed your plants. Keep them happy and your plants will be happy. Molasses also provides low levels of some minerals like magnesium and even a little potassium.

Mix it up at 1 TBSP per gallon, right before you water-- don't mix and let it sit for longer than a couple hours or you will have a foul-smelling anaerobic (BAD!!!) soup... No need to boil or anything like that, just add and stir thoroughly. Even better, add, stir, then bubble with air stones for an hour or two. This will raise the oxygen levels, making those micro beasties even happier.

Molasses is most beneficial during bloom, but one or two aapplications in veg wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

just make sure not to over do it on raw sugar as it will start to prevent the roots absorbing oxygen. one application at 1 tsp per gallon a week is plenty
